I like that, but Miz should win the title at Survivor Series or maybe even earlier.

nWo is the greatest angle of all time. Wrestling was red hot during that period. Andre/Hogan tops the nWo i’d say. 93,000 fans don’t lie. My 1st thought was MegaPowers explode. That was a year+ long story, that really concludes with a wedding in 91.

Bryan maybe. Miz............ me don't think so. Miz for sure. WWE Champion, IC Champion, US, Champion, Tag Champion, fantastic promo, excellent storyteller, great wrestler, WrestleMania main event winner, best heel in the business. The list goes on and on. Forget the titles. Titles don't make the man. The man makes the titles. Fantastic promo............ although he isn't terrible on the mic, he's no The Rock. Don't confuse charisma with being annoying. Excellent storyteller........ what does that even mean? That's just something wrestlers say to make what their doing sound complicated. Wrestlemania main event winner.......... he was a pawn in the Cena/Rock feud. Best heel in the business............ not hard in 2018 when wrestling isn't wrestling anymore. Miz has improved from being the worst wrestler to step foot in the ring in 2006. However he's still not that great.

In modern times sure, but of all time? Slow down cowboy. I agree. 92K fans were there to see Hogan vs. Andre (even if he was previously bodyslammed many times around the country) Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat are the complete antithesis of each other, period.

Look at the matches he's put on in the last two or three years with Rollins, Balor, Dolph, Bryan, Reigns. Rollins, Balor and Bryan are probably three of the top ten all around workers in the industry and Miz has kept up with them rather easily. Sure, Miz is no expert technician or great brawler or high flyer, but his showmanship and ability to draw heat provides just as much, if not more, to his matches as anything else his opponents bring. While I wouldn't say that he's definitively the best heel in the business (it's a toss up between him and Tommaso), The Miz is certainly one of WWE's greatest assets and certainly their greatest homegrown talent in the last decade.

I think the #1 most underrated skill in wrestling is the ability to draw heat as a heel. Miz is better than anyone in the business at that, even though he does seem to get a lot of cheers as well. He's one of the only true heels left in the company.

If we’re going by butts in seats, Reigns/HHH tops Andre/Hogan. nWo suffered from not having a strong payoff. It basically just fizzled out then got revived a few more times to diminishing returns. Austin vs McMahon never really concluded, either.

Miz still has tons of limitations in the ring. The only guy who has been able to really work around Miz is Ziggler. Which is probably because they're close friends in real life and there is a chemistry/trust there that Miz doesn't have with other guys. I saw Miz and Ziggler work a cage match at a house show in December of 2016 for the IC Title that was easily one of the best matches I've ever seen.
I think Miz is undoubtedly a great heel and character. He was born as one of the most punchable humans I've ever seen, and his wife is nails on chalkboard too, which makes them an amazing pair. I'm not sure I'd put him over Jay White right now, and Samoa Joe is the best heel in WWE imo, but Miz has been in his prime for the last 2 or so years and it's been great to watch.
That being said, his match with Bryan wasn't much more than an average affair. The ending was generic and Miz never had enough showing a$$ moments where Bryan really got over before he got taken out. Miz needed to be dialed up to a 10 for that match and he felt like he was at a 6. So maybe we'll get more out of them in Australia. I really enjoyed their promo together last night. So from a character perspective, Miz is absolutely firing on all cylinders.
There have been plenty of better angles than this one. I mean it's entirely subjective in the same way I can say Bo Dallas is the best wrestler on the roster, but for me this is a serious case of hyperbole. Best happy accident? I'll give you that one. I think they still need to have a great match during this feud to even make it memorable and that's likely not going to happen with their wives involved. We'll see where it goes. Miz beating AJ and Bryan winning the Rumble is a compelling story, but I'd just as well like to see Joe win the title and Bryan win the Rumble.

Daniel Bryan could run rings around him if they were to wrestle in a more technical styled wrestling match.

Daniel Bryan could run rings around him if they were to wrestle in a more technical styled wrestling match. For one, he doesn't use only basic moves. For two, it's not only about the cool moves you can do. Miz has a smart offense that makes perfect sense, especially for his character. He tells great stories in the ring. Look at the matches he's put on in the last two or three years with Rollins, Balor, Dolph, Bryan, Reigns. There's a reason Dolph's only been interesting in the past few years when he worked Miz in 2016. The only other guy to get anything even close to great out Dolph since 2015 is Seth. Seth is incredible, yet his best match this year just so happens to be a singles match with The Miz. Same goes for Bryan.

Daniel Bryan could run rings around him if they were to wrestle in a more technical styled wrestling match. It’s 2018. We are evolved way past the mindset of “the best wrestler is the one who does the most crazy moves” or that pro wrestling is all about “movesets.” That’s from the era of being 15 years old and just getting into DVD-trading and ROH. In this day and age, when half the roster have mastered the textbook ROH moveset and can do all the superkicks and suicide dives, that stuff doesn’t make a particularly great wrestler. It doesn’t make someone stand out at all. What makes someone stand out is the ability to draw emotion from the audience in their matches, and there are few better than The Miz at that right now.
