This is a question for fellow board members. As we all know Toys R Us closed shop in the USA, and I still would like to go. I see Canada still has TRU. Is there a place anyone know of in Canada that has a TRU store and also some kind of tourist spot near by?
I want to go but I dont want to only go for the store. If there was a big mall or a resort near the TRU I could justify going more easily. Any suggestions?
I'm in Chicago. Looking to drive. I see some spots in Canada are with in an 8 hr drive of Chicago. I'm not necessarily looking for wwe only at TRU. I just always loved stores. My son is 4, he doesn't understand that TRU is dead and gone here. He only knows that when I go for a drive he sees old store locations and he thinks I'm being mean by not stopping. It would be nice to take a trip, more than anything, to see his face of joy.
Thanks in advance!

Plenty of Wrestling related awesomeness. Hamilton ... Minutes away from Toronto, home to the first ever Royal Rumble...Near a major mall with disney, etc

Are you coming by car (cross border trip) or are you looking at a vacation trip where you will be staying more than 1 day?! Also, are you looking for something specific, most TRU's here are stocked with Network spotlight figs, remnants of HOF3, E39 (SID) and the odd lost legends figure. For new stuff, you should be able to find Fan Central elites and basics, Wrestlemania elites, the odd main elite line series and recently (as some have reported) Summerslam elites and basics are starting to hit. Most likely you will need to go to more than one to find It all depends where you live and what part of Canada you will be visiting- East coast or West coast?! If its Ontario then as King Ghidora mentioned, Toronto is the place to go. There are lots of things to see and do but you will need a car to get around as most TRU's are located in the suburbs. Hamilton is not 'minutes' from Toronto, its 45 mins to an hour (depending on traffic) so keep that in mind in terms of how much you want to travel. Niagara Falls is another tourist destination, there is a TRU in St. Catherines which is about 15-20min drive from Niagara Falls.

Lots of Canada is almost touristy by default. It depends on the kind of things you want to see. Toronto sure, if you want to see a city. Both the East and West coasts are just as good and have TRUs. The beauty of the scenery is great just about anywhere. Especially after the summer when the heat's died down.
Just don't go to the prairies haha. Zzzzz.
Kidding aside, I think you'd do just fine by going nearly anywhere. Even Oshawa or Whitby or Ottawa would be good choices for a place to stay, then travel all around the areas (including Toronto).
I'm from the east coast and I like to think we have a good reputation. Halifax is a great port city with lots of stuff to do, plus there's the ocean if you haven't seen that.
