Fightful.com says JJ Angle has been shadowing producers backstsge while he has been off of TV from his neck surgery. WWE might be looking into giving him a position as a producer in case he cannot return to the ring. It was reported last week that JJ’s neck injury situation after his surgery is worse than expected and that there are no plans set for him to return.
- Last week, it was reported that Matt Hardy was doing rehab on his back and was going to try to continue wrestling. His situation has changed. Hardy said goodbye to tag team partner Bray Wyatt after #Raw because he is going to be taking some time off.
Dave Meltzer reported that the Hardy and Wyatt vs. The B-Team match was done as a blow-off to their feud.
There has been talk of Hardy shadowing producers so he could learn the ropes for a possible backstage role in the company. Jason Jordan, who has been dealing with neck issues, has been doing the same thing.
Hardy will start getting treatment for his different injuries and then a decision will be made about his in-ring future and what type of schedule or capacity. In recent weeks, Hardy has been sending out cryptic tweets hinting at retirement. He wasn’t messing around with fans though because he fully realizes that his in-ring days are coming to an end soon.

It'd be a real shame if Jason Jordan can't return. I know many didn't care for him. But the dude could go in the ring with the best of them. Plus there's something so manly about the name Jason.
Matt retiring would stink, but it'd be a lil more acceptable. He's had a fantastic career and has done almost everything in the business. He's reinvented himself several times. And it's cool WWE is trying to find him a new job. And as much as Matt loves to dissect wrestling, I think he'd be a good producer.

Hardy should have retired years ago. When he came back at WM I made the comment that his movement inside the ring looked like that of a broken down senior citizen. The guy looked like he was laboring to move. It’s about time he hangs it up and enjoyed retirement.

I always hoped that the Jordan/Angle storyline would end up being a set up with HHH and Steph tricking Angle and Jordan turning on him

that’s unfortunate for Jason Jordan, considering his career was cut so short.

Well it would suck if both have to retire but adding some fresh blood behind the scenes in producer roles is badly need. Its time to move on from Hayes,Anderson,Malenko..ect its also became clear that its time to move on with the recent efforts on PPV's with the best matches this year being report that a fresh guy like Tyson Kidd has been producing the best in ring match ups.

Jason Jordan was awesome. It was the stupid angle (no pun intended) of him being Kurt's son which ruined him.
If Gable and Jordan had remained a tag team, they would have easily been over on Raw together if both moved over last summer, instead of just Jordan.

I still can't believe how badly WWE has blown Broken Hardy. It was literally the hottest thing going in wrestling, but they sat on the Team Xtreme return too long, and despite doing a Match at the Hardy compound, they then dropped the ball and we never saw Senor Benjamin or any of the broken universe ever again.

That sucks if true for Jordan, I really enjoyed his character before he got injured.

I've said for years Hardy would be a great person to have in the back. He's got a great mind and love for wrestling

I wonder if Jason Jordan will wear those awful looking white wrestling sneakers with his executive suits backstage?

Really bad news for both of them.
Jordan seemed to have a lot of potential. I would have loved for American Alpha to reunite and dominate to RAW tag title scene. It's too bad Jordan got sidetracked with the dumb Kurt Angle storyline. I hope he can stay involved with the WWE in some capacity.
As for Hardy, to me his return to WWE just hasn't clicked. I'm glad he got the rights to use his Broken/Woken Universe, but it just didn't seem as unique and special as it was in Impact. I would have liked him to have one more successful solo run once he got away from Wyatt, or maybe even another tag run with Jeff, but overall, I think he's had a fantastic career. I think he'll do very well working behind the scenes, if that's where he lands.

Seems more than a rumor about Hardy. Which is good. I don’t want him crippled and his brain would be helpful in the wrestling business.

I always hoped that the Jordan/Angle storyline would end up being a set up with HHH and Steph tricking Angle and Jordan turning on him I always hoped that it would end up with Jordan being exposed as a fraud, and Gable being revealed as Angle's son - like he should've been to start with.

I read someone saying that Matt moves like he's going against a stiff wind and I can't unsee that now.

I fully believe that is why Chad Gable is MIA. I bet the plan was for an American Alpha reunion. Shame, because they could have been special.

So is Matt Hardy , retired then ? I think he is trying to gut it out so he can have his final match at Wrestlemania. It would really suck for Jason Jordan if he has to retire soon. He has a great look for a wrestler, was really good in the ring and had a kickass entrance theme (his singles theme, not the American Alpha porno music).
