What are the best "break up" feuds and where does Gargano/Chiampa rank among them? before Gargano/Chiampa there was Owens/Zayn but even before there was Michaels/Jannetty There was Hardy vs Hardy, Edge vs Christian, I wouldn't put teams like Hogan/Savage or even Owens/Jericho because they only had a history of teaming up a short while.

Eddie and Rey is probably the best one. It has actual story versus the typical “I don’t need you anymore” that basically every other break up story stems from besides Enzo and Cass. That one had valid reasons being that Cass was mad at Enzo for being a joke, being the reason they never won the titles, but it was executed poorly.

I think in all my years of watching, Ciampa & Gargano would be my personal favorite. Because unlike some of my other favorites (Luger/Windham) we never got a feud that felt personal to follow it up. With Ciampa & Gargano, you believe these two want to kill each other.
And Owens & Zayn was great. One of my all time favorite feuds. But the only problem was that we knew they had feuded before. And in NXT we didn't get much time to see how close they were. I like that they didn't wait long to get it kick started, but for this topic, it hurts their ranking IMO.

Jannetty/Michaels was very classic
Andre and Hogan having their falling out leading to WM3
Miz/Morrison also comes to mind

Dont see why you can put #DIY in there and not The Mega Powers. Hogan & Savage were together longer then Gargano & Ciampa were. Plus Hogan & Savages feud was both in ring & out of the ring and lasted nearly 30 years. It never officially ended until one of them died.

How about when the Road Warriors turn on their NWA 6 man tag team champion partner Dusty Rhodes?

Batista from Evolution has gotta be up there too. Late 2004 into early 2005, Batista was a Star in the waiting. They pulled the trigger at the Rumble and I loved how Triple H made you think Batista was going to Smackdown to challenge for the WWE title

Definitely Hogan/Andre and Hogan/Savage. The execution and builds to both were off the charts.

Ones that don't get split up due to a draft.
Looking at how great The Shield's breakup was I can't help but imagine that if a brand split existed back then one of them would've been drafted which would've been a lazy way to split them.

To throw something that hasn't been mentioned, I think one of the best executions for a break up was that of Scott Steiner and Rick Steiner. However the booking after it happened wasn't the best. My vote for the best was Mega Powers followed by The Rockers.

I enjoyed The Dudleys turning on Spike. Evolution turning on Orton. Eddie/Rey was surreal. I will never forget that brainbuster on the steel steps. That was such an intense moment.
Hogan/Savage and Jannety/Micheals must top the list of all time.

Ricky Morton joining the York Foundation and then popping Robert Gibson in the face with a fist.
Barry Windham turning on Lex Luger and going the Horsemen the Tag Titles.
Shawn Michaels throwing Marty Jannetty through that glass window at the Barber Shop.
