After the reports of Rowan's arm injury, I expected the title switch. Good Smackdown. The three stories I care most about all had solid segments. I hope the crowds continue to cheer Becky. Ah,so that's what happened. Now this makes sense.

That sucks, I was hoping Harper and Rowan would retain with the help of Bray Wyatt, since I can't see what Bray would be doing now with Matt Hardy apparently somewhat retired or something.

It was really fun for me watching The Bludgeon Brothers tear through everyone. Now more that ever I wish they didn't ruin Sanity and had them be the ones to take the titles. Anyone but the frigging New Day.

He seems to get hurt just when he’s starting to gain momentum. I hope his surgery goes well and he has a speedy recovery.

I'm just catching up on Smackdown - was watching baseball - so I'm just going to express my annoyance that WWE has basically shoehorned Brie Bella into - what should be - their biggest angle on Smackdown Live? There is zero reason she should have anything to do with this feud aside from making an appearance at ringside and running Mayrse off during a match. That is the only reason she should have any "place" during this storyline. It's just thrown together as an 'excuse' to have another match between Miz / Bryan but nobody wanted this match. "We" (fans) just want to see Miz get his comeuppance and Bryan shut him up. That's it. It's one of the easiest storylines that they could have right now.
In "SodaGuy Books Wrestling Episode 1": Miz basically refuses to face Daniel Bryan. Bryan basically promises that he'll get his revenge on Miz soon enough. Miz moves into a program with AJ Styles and wins the championship somewhere between now and the Royal Rumble. Y'all wanna guess who wins the Royal Rumble and now has a guaranteed championship match against him at Wrestlemania? Daniel Bryan. Miz gets his comeuppance on the biggest stage and Daniel Bryan has basically completed his return to the WWE. It's the literal definition of a Wrestlemania moment.
But nah.. we need shoehorn Brie Bella into this storyline because of some bulls*** reason. Hell.. put Brie and Maryse in a singles match at the women's pay-per-view for all I care but this mixed tag match is beyond stupid.

I enjoyed SD tonight.
Sucks Rowan got hurt. Have always been a fan of him and Harper. But cool for New Day to win the tag title again. Love em or hate them they are still over big with the crowd.
AJ/Joe and Bryan/Miz are the best feuds going in the WWE today, but it’s lame that Brie and Maryse are being inserted into this feud. No reason they should be involved at all.
Can’t believe Vince actually thinks fans will boo Becky. She’s one of the most over women in the WWE and the fans will never boo her for his golden-girl.
I’m actually enjoying R-Truth constantly challenging Carmella to a match.
Glad Payton got a win for once. I’ve never been a Naomi fan so I’m glad Payton didn’t have to job to her.

I don't think they're as damaged as some people think

I've given Miz a lot of credit the last couple years but I really don't have the stomach to watch this angle continue with Daniel Bryan. Ever since the original NXT days Miz has been saying Bryan isn't and can never be "Superstar" material. And really despite winning the US Championship from Miz, Bryan has never overcome that. A few months after that title win, Daniel was preshowing Wrestlemania chasing the US Championship he had already dropped to Sheamus (which was scrapped midmatch for a non-title battle royal) while Miz was main eventing. Then we go through Daniel's rise in popularity amongst the audience and his tribulations with injuries while Miz kinda peters out. Bryan comes back as an authority figure later on and reopens tensions with Miz, who is in the midst of reestablishing himself. We get confrontations and strong words that we believe can never be truly resolved. Until Bryan is once again cleared for in-ring action. A few months pass, we get the top-draw match most have been pining for, at historically one of the biggest events of the year, and what do we get? Bryan loses. Miz uses underhanded tactics sure, but the loss still stands and Miz looks way better for hanging with a highly regarded "wrestler". Not to worry. Daniel has his "true" chance at redemption at the debut of an unproven gimmick show that is an all-women's PPV, teaming with his wife, who WWE always deems a "pioneer" and "cornerstone" of their Women's Division, in a mixed tag match. A match tailored perfectly so Miz can run down Bryan some more for letting his wife do all the work, a claim (I don't believe) Miz was ever allowed to utter after a similar match from WM 33 also featuring John Cena and Nikki Bella, the then "power couple" of WWE. So after some more weeks belittling comments and being made a fool of, maybe Daniel Bryan can finally move on after their match in Australia, if Bryan does indeed win that match...

Hey man, don’t fret about the Mixed Match challenge. Thats just a way to further the story and keep it hot a while longer. Brie can win the match, giving Miz another excuse to wine about how Bryan still hasn’t beaten him. Now, in between the MMC and the Rumble is where it gets interesting. They have a match in Austrian October 6th, with the winner becoming the number one contender for the WWE championship. 10 days later they’re one of the 3 main events on Smackdown 1000. I wonder what stipulation that match will have? Maybe there’s a DQ at SSD and the match goes to SDL? Maybe Bryan wins on the 6th and Miz finds a way to weasel a rematch on the 10th and steals it back? With those 3 little recaps from 2 weeks ago pointing out how their careers have mirrored each other so frequently over the years, putting the strap on Miz and having Bryan win the Rumble as his only way of getting his redemption just seems too perfect. I know the writing team can still screw it up, or either man can get injured, but I can dream.
