Yay. Now Vince can kick around the prototypical "Indy Darling" for as long as his heart desires...

Maybe I’m missing something but why would wwe not sign before Bryan does?

Great news. Now can WWE make this guy the top star in the company? Or at least on SD...

Maybe I’m missing something but why would wwe not sign before Bryan does? I'm guessing Bryan countered their contract offer, so they'd need to agree to anything he modified?

This should be WWE's mindset with Bryan officially staying:

But then it wouldn’t be a done deal if wwe had to agree. Prob the dirt sheet way of covering themselves if he didn’t lol. Well WWE didn’t sign it

Maybe I’m missing something but why would wwe not sign before Bryan does? I'm guessing Bryan countered their contract offer, so they'd need to agree to anything he modified? As the contractor, Bryan Danielson would not be able to have someone, IE an agent or lawyer draw up a contract for WWE. WWE would issue the contract as the employer despite Bryan's independent contractor status. There's some issues regarding when his last contract actually ended vs. whether he has agreed to their date of exit. Lots of odd stuff at play here. But Bryan is not leaving anytime soon, as there was a dispute over the freezing of his contract as a wrestler when he was GM. This may simply be his agreeing to work into 2019 or from 9/1 when he felt the deal was expiring to the date they say it expires. If that is the case he'd have to sign what they issue and then they as the employer would sign it to complete the deal.

I think Miz is gonna win again at Hell in a Cell. He wins the title match at Super Show Down, wins the title at TLC in maybe a triple threat between him Joe and AJ. Miz boasts about Daniel never being able to beat him. Bryan wins the Royal Rumble. The two have their final encounter at Wrestlemania for the title where Daniel finally beats him

Maybe he'll start to get involved in more important storylines. I heard one of the reasons WWE was so non-committal with pushing him or getting him near any Titles was that they didn't want to push him and then have him leave...so he's really done nothing of importance since coming out of retirement.
I want Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles for the WWE Title....or Miz/Bryan/AJ for the Title would be fine, too. I think Miz has earned it and deserves to be there.

Maybe it is the best thing for his health, in regards to wrestling style.

I'm pretty sure another WWE Championship run would have been part of the deal, and as long as he is on a separate show to Roman Reigns I don't see why Vince would have any problem with it. Fully expect him to win the Title at Wrestlemania 35, and potentially the Royal Rumble.

if you’re locked into the wwe travel style and accustomed to it, would make sense just to keep rolling with that while you can.

Face Bryan vs a heel Reigns would be awesome. When these guys had a match before WrestleMania a couple of years ago there was a lot of chemistry there. I think they would work really well in a program together, but only if Roman was the heel just beating the crap out of the smaller Daniel Bryan.
