I wanted to buy a Shopping cart but there was no way I could have hauled it home in my station wagon LOL, I was tempted to buy a shopping cart too and I live just 2 blocks away so I couldve just pushed it to my apartment, but I have absolutely no space for it at all and wouldnt know where to put it or what to do with it. I snagged a shopping basket with the classic Geoffrey head I may or may not have paid for. Great for keeping my custom supplies in.

I have a detached garage behind my house. I could have used it for bringing groceries to the house in one shot instead of making multiple trips back and forth

To address people who are blaming places like Ringside for the fall of TRU, please do your research, it’s out there. There’s nobody to blame for their demise other than TRU themselves. Toy Galaxy on YouTube had a fantastic video detailing the rise and fall of Toys R Us for anyone interested in what happened. It was a fantastic video indeed although I felt his commentary was a little scathing. His final quote really resonated with me though "(My favorite Toys R Us memory) is everytime I have bought an action figure from them...it's just not the same buying it anywhere else".

Ive been going to tru since the early 90s. I definitely miss it and my browsing or fig hunting is cut waaaay back. Id seli regularly stop in tru just to look because the store is fun and they had a decent selection and turn over rate for wwe figs.
As others say, hunting at target or walmart in general is less fun as they typically have much less stock and the turn over is significantly slower paced.
The one thing is, it has made me a more accurate fig buyer. Now since i barely hunt I really think out my purchases and make sure theyre giant wants and i dont just buy a fig to get one like i used to. Either way, sad Tru is gone for sure

I’m 50/50. I enjoy the hunt and try to avoid buying toys online. In this regard I miss them.
However, most TRUs around me never restocked and had stuff sitting on shelves for YEARS. In that regard I don’t miss them.

One less store to have to check. 😂 I would order everything online if I could.

I miss it. It was a huge part of my childhood. As an adult I loved taking my son and cherish the times we went.
It will never be duplicated. I plan on taking a trip to Canada soon just to go to a TRU.
I just wish they would take down all the store signs. My son sees them and thinks I am being mean for not taking him.
