With a new surfer Sting coming out, I say the next Elite Sting ought to be a 1996 Sting...Either the transitional surfer/crow look or the early crow look.
Thoughts?

Or perhaps even the odd Nitro game look? This might make a cool basic?  On that note, I'd love to see a basic Wolfpac Sting with goatee and 1999 Sting with white boot covers as well! |

...Years later and I still don’t feel stung.
(I’m thankful for e62 sting but I need more elite surfers, and Yes I would love a ‘96 crow elite but I probably won’t buy any other crows)

I’m probably in the minority but I’m ok for stings once I get 62. That and GAB in my early wcw collection, RSC and Crow for my later ones. That’s enough for me.

I think the DM Sting is the only full gear crow version of Sting we really need. And for his debut look, maybe as a basic. I don't think it needs an Elite.

It’s Sting of course i’ll Buy it. But I want an Elite Beach Blast ‘92 Sting and an Elite version of the Starrcade ‘90 Sting (B62) first.
As far as a crow Sting goes I would like a WCW black and white version of the RSC figure, but with the Ziggler arms.

I see people ask for this from time-to-time, at least that first Crow Sting promo from October of 96. I don't think it's going to happen. I wouldn't mind a shorter haired version of him from 97, primarily because it reminds me of the OSFTM WCW figures, but that seems kind of unlikely too. I'm not against either, but the 96 Crow look in particular feels really niche to me.

It was the Nitro just after Fall Brawl in 1996 when it was NWO vs WCW. This is when he declared himself a free agent and told the people who didn't believe him when he said he was not with the NWO that they could stick it. Not my #1 want of Sting but definitely up there. |

This promo is 9/16/96, and Sting doesn't come out in the black and white to attack "Sting" until 10/21/1996. As for the figure...yeah, I'd love this one! I buy any and all Sting figures that I can get my hands on, so I'll take any that they make. |

I was really expecting the Flashback basic Sting to be the red/white from '96. It's just a great look and would stand out well. It would be nice to get an Elite '96 Sting with a properly scaled head. The sculpt is one of my favorites, but BATB just looks off with the large head.

I always wondered why you were desperate for an elite surfer Sting! I got the DM Surfer Sting but passed on the basics as well. The e62 looks awesome, hopefully we get some more. |
