I drove to the nearest Kmart yesterday and found series 6. They were $13.99 a piece

When S1 hit, it sold QUICK from 2 Wal-Mart's that carried them near me. Only 1 restocked and the other didn't. The one that did, had the UW and Takers shelf warm for THE longest time. S2 never showed and S3 arrived at Target. WM never got retros in ever again. I only bought Taker, UW and Reigns (Not a huge fan of his but I'm a SUCKER for that punch action). I'd have to say for me, it's the character selection that disinterested me. Too many modern guys. I would have preferred a mix of all eras because even S2 is too many AE figures for me.

Yeah, I get that realistically WWE would probably never give them the green light without putting the modern roster in. I do understand the novelty of getting to put Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt etc. in the old Hasbro ring against the likes of my Repo Man, IRS, Crush, Nailz and Skinner. But if they did somehow give me free reign to create the line I would have had something like: USA Luger Original Brown attire 'deranged' Mankind Heel Owen Hart-might as well add him in since it's just fantasy after all lol The Roadie/Road Dogg New Gen Shawn Michaels-red or blue tights Hogan in red gear *basically looking like his mail away figure-see Owen** King Mable Yokozuna-red trunks *with beard maybe Goldust Jerry Lawler Isaac Yankum Bastion Booger Damien Demento-his attire always just screamed cool action figure, would have loved to see it Doink-babyface attire Jeff Jarrett Bret Hart without sunglasses Bob Backlund Waylon Mercy Savio Vega Razor Ramon-gold, green or red attire Ringmaster Steve Austin and of course Diesel The purple Undertaker, Warrior, Flair, Rock, Kane and Macho Man we currently have are great, wouldn't change a thing there outside of a repaint of more classic Macho Man. I do love the Austin and Mankind but a Ringmaster and original Mankind variant would be great. And for the packaging I'd try to get them all on an orange card design with the old line art, bio card- whole nine yards. As unrealistic as most of that is lol....just how I would have loved to try and really bring back to life the original Hasbro line with the Retros. I don't even mind sprinkling in some of the top current names but that is how I would really build the core of it if I could.

Gonna catch flak but these damn things have been rotting on shelves since day 1 in my area and quite frankly I'm not surprised. It's a line that specifically targets older fans who had Hasbros and kids don't want them because why in God's name would they when basics are better to play with and are around the same price point. The lack of flashbacks and distribution aren't what's killing the line. It's just not a good series for their core demo and if I'm being honest I think a pretty good chunk of the adult collectors probably don't care about them either. I don't know... the Flashback figures do seem to be far more popular - Flair and Macho are always selling out quickly or going for more than the others on eBay etc. And I haven't seen any store anywhere with a load of Flair and Macho figures that aren't shifting. I've said it before and I'll say it again - this line by its very nature will mainly appeal to older fans and collectors: if Series 3 had been something like Flair, Macho, Sting and Angle, then they wouldn't have hung around for very long. Amen! The 4 Targets in my area still have at least 7-8 or more warming pegs at all times. I took a pic a couple months ago but deleted it of about 20 Ultimate Warriors sitting on WalMart's clearance shelf with about 15 other retros next to them. I don't get why there is still a debate. They aren't selling because lack of demand. I think the main problem with Series 1 was that Walmart just ordered too many... and the issue with them shipping in 2 different cases certainly didn't help matters either.

Yeah, issue with walmart was definatly ordering too many, they sold fast the first few shipments, but then later on the warriors, cenas, and to a degree lesnars were in mass. So, also poor case break downs on mattel's part. No need to ship so many of Warrior and Cena.
Like I said before, if they were doing 6 guys per wave, they should have been 12 per case with 2 of each guy.

Kmarts that still exist got the new zombies and series 6 retros but I think they are both like 15.99. Also elites at one Kmart I went to that is an hour away where $24.99. So I bought the red and black sting but man that was really pushing it. They were $13.99 here. I wouldn’t have bought the whole set at that price, but they had a promotion where if you spend $50, you get $25 cash back in points. Figure I’ll use that to get a couple free figures off their website.
