Has as anyone ever done this? If so I would love to see how it turned out. I know everybody gets sigs on the strap, but I was thinking of trying something different. I was thinking of trying to get an autograph on the blank nameplate of my WCW big gold and see if that works. Not sure what color I would use yet.

All my autos are on straps but I've seen people at cons getting the plates signed as well. Comes down to personal preference but I prefer the straps.

Signatures on the strap are way better, writing on an unsmooth surface never looks good. The only thing worth doing on the actual plate is having someone from the NWO spray paint it.

Go for the strap. It'll look bad due to the texture and then rub off easily.

I reckon strap will always look better. I've seen signed figures and the signature just goes all over the shop!

I wish I could find the photo of someone who got the blank nameplate on the big gold signed. It came out pretty good and it's unique. I've always done strap too, but never guarantee the sig comes out clean there either. I've had some come out not completely solid, but def readable
