Now its out, how many you actually care? lol If dude love was supposed to be the mystery fourth dm of 2015 then I want to know. I’m still upset about that reveal. I don’t care about the story beyond that

Now its out, how many you actually care? lol I think it's interesting, as it seems Dude was scheduled in the line a few times, only to be pulled or moved. Not to mention, our first Foley figure was released in 2012... how on earth does it take another SIX YEARS before Dude Love is released!?

I just think its one of those stories, you know, your friend hypes it up, "you gotta hear this" and when hear it, you go, "meh" lol

I wasn't as active back when there were rumors of Dude Love being the fourth Defining Moments figure years ago, so forgive me if I don't remember the particular details from that period. I do remember when Dude Love was an option for an upcoming Defining Moments figure - the one originally listed online with Charlotte's name attached which eventually became Vengeance 2001 Chris Jericho. After that, Dude Love appeared with several other names on BrickSeek/Target's site in late 2017 that were thought to be coming in Hall of Fame Series 6. If that was ever going to become anything, I think the lineup would've included Paul Bearer (now Target's Hall of Champions Series 3), Dude Love (now Elite Series 62), Ricky Steamboat (now Walmart's Flashback Elite Series 3), and Shawn Michaels (now Walmart's Flashback Elite Series 2). Shortly thereafter came the rumored Flashback Elites exclusive to Walmart. Originally, the codes for Series 3 (then thought to be Series 2) shown names on BrickSeek/Walmart's site such as Paul Bearer, Dude Love, Ricky Steamboat, and Dusty Rhodes (now Elite Series 63). Steamboat was the only name to hold true for that lineup. Not excited for this next wave of target elites. Don't need another ministry Taker, that Eddie should of been in that 4 pack instead of the one we got and I can't buy another one of him and I would of rather had a repeat of e6 Batista than the one in that set. I really wanted to see Paul Bearer and Dude Love in this wave. You're thinking of the Walmart Flashback Elites. These (Hall of Champions Elite Series 1 Batista/Eddie/Rikishi/Undertaker) are exclusive to Target stores. I like Dude Love's chances in the second wave of Walmart Exclusive Flashback Elites. His name, among others, was once in line for Target's Hall of Fame line, but that time has passed and it appears Mattel is moving on to something else in 2018. The Mean Gene Okerlund/Syxx/Ultimate Warrior/Yokozuna Elite figures on display at Ringside Fest could very well be followed by Dude Love/Dusty Rhodes/Paul Bearer/Ricky Steamboat if these BrickSeek listings are any indication. 887961602371 - Wwe Wmt Flshbk Elite Yokozuna (SKU: 298215911) 887961602388 - Wwe Flshbk Elite Paul Bearer (SKU: 471523723) 887961602395 - Wwe Flshbk Elite Dusty Rhodes (SKU: 251264387) 887961602401 - Wwe Flashback Series Ult (SKU: 753362430) 887961602418 - Wwe Wmt Flshbk Elite Syxx (SKU: 167417047) 887961602425 - Wwe Flshbk Elite Dude Love (SKU: 531827273)887961602432 - Wwe Wmt Flashback Bob (SKU: 629287047) 887961602449 - Wwe Flshbk Elite Mean Gene (SKU: 679754154) 887961602456 - Wwe Flshbk Elite Ricky Steamboat (SKU: 938161604) By the way, here are/were the UPCs for what I believe was meant to be Hall of Fame Series 6: FBJ62 - WWE Hall of Fame Elite Paul Bearer Figure (UPC: 887961432640) FBJ64 - WWE Hall of Fame Elite Dude Love Figure (UPC: 887961432671)FBJ65 - WWE Hall of Fame Elite Ricky Steamboat Figure (UPC: 887961432633) FBJ66 - WWE Hall of Fame Elite Shawn Michaels Figure (UPC: 887961432701) As we all know now, Dude Love wound up in Elite Series 62. He finally found his forever home.

The speculation of dude originally being that fourth dm only came because it coincided with contract issues and statements made by foley demanding a Santa foley figure or else he wouldn’t re-sign or something like that. I don’t think it was ever credibly rumored...but I’d like to get closer to the bottom of that dm debacle by debunking the dude.

Cleaned up the thread. Please keep it on topic from this point forward. We still won't know anything more until Ringside Fest most likely, but it would be great if in the meantime we didn't feel the need to attack one another over petty nonsense.
Thank you.

I'm sure it'll be a very underwhelming story, not worth all this build up.

My guess has always been one of two options and I'm sure I'm wrong. It is either Mattel lawyers not wanting Twitter/Facebook heat on the name Dude Love being taken the wrong way on shelves and some sort of fear from the LGBTQ (may have a letter out of order) community finding the name mocking or offensive. When it's not but gettting offended is everyone's new hobby. Or something with Foley saying 'no' a few times to a dude figure for what ever reason then 'sure' the last time they asked. They we're worried he'd remember why he said no. Again I'm sure I'll be completely wrong.

I’m pretty sure the story will be a combination of Foley not renewing his legends deal, WWE not allowing Mattel to complete and release any figures they were working on when his deal expired, and figuring out how to do his tie dye within budget.

I think something was said a few years ago that WWE owns the Mankind name, but Mick owns Cactus and Dude Love, which caused the complications with the Hall of Fame figure that wasn't released (except for, well, you know). That could have been fake news though
