Didn’t know it had a new head sculpt. I like the old one better. This one doesn’t really have any honky tonk swagger and looks more like the guy who always wears button ups on Modern family. The jumpsuit is great. It’s currently soaking in a cup of white vinegar and water to take some dye out. Because it will definitely stain. I have another one on the way because I thought ups lost this one. UPS delivered to a house a block away from me. Anyone know how to unfile a UPS claim? Guess I’ll display one on the 1987-89 shelf and one on the 1990+ shelf

That vinegar trick you are doing, that will keep the material from staining the figure? My red one hasn’t stained the figure, isn’t it the same material?

I, too, would like more information about this vinegar trick. Completely submerged? For how long? Air dry? Any residual smell? Does it dull the color? Does it affect the design on the suit at all?
Most intriguing.

I just use dish soap and water and you can see the extra dye come out, mostly with red and black clothing they did well for a few years there but now it happens again.
Also you could use the second HTM for customs, I would use his shins and boots to fix my Ron Simmons height.

Glad you got the fig, I can't wait to get this. The jumpsuit looks so cool. Did the box come in good condition?

I agree, I prefer the other head sculpt as well- it's a better likeness to HTM IMO. Disappointed to see this Honky fig comes with the same stick legs. They look too thin to me and due to the torso choice it looks like they might break easily. I presume from a scale perspective, its accurate to what HTM actually looked like?! Love the last pic you posted- how did you get JYD to stay in that pose?! Thanks for the tip, I may give this a try. I have been meaning to try PJ's suggestion for stained clothing (soaking it in warm water) with Bobby Heenan's jacket. This staining is ticking me off, my Heenan figure is ruined, It tried taking it back to exchange it for another one but the one I found was also stained so I figured that this is how most of them are so I just said screw it and kept the original one I bought. What is the reason for the staining- cheap fabric?! I am wondering whether the upcoming Flashback Steamboat figure might be stained as well even though the jacket is white?!

Not sure if I’ll display this on another fed shelf of wcw since it’s his blue get up I remember from his wcw vignette as well as fed years.

I think the fabric thing is they make it they box it they ship it. no 'rest' period or washing before...

Most intriguing. i learned about it from jiu jitsu. a lot of bjj guys soak their gis in vinegar overnight then wash them in vinegar to preserve the whiteness or blueness or whatever color it is. washing in vinegar also rips out all the nasty funk mildew sweat smell + bacteria out so for the figure clothing, i take a small 6-8 oz cup fill it a couple ounces of white vinegar or halfway up the cup, then fill the rest with water. toss the article of clothing in swish it around. totally submerge it and let it sit there totally submerged overnight. grab the piece of clothing, lay on a towel or paper towel, pat it dry, then rinse it thoroughly with water for a minute or so. then pat dry again. no residual smell or damage of any kind. no color removal. it's great. ive done it to flairs DM robes, Machos DM robe, everything and once they dry they look straight out of package with presumably no figure staining potential because the dye is set no damage to stitching, or the decal pressing or whatever gets ironed or applied to the fabric. all perfect white vinegar is a super magical cleaning solution. it's gotta be the white vinegar. not apple cider or any other weird vinegar I just use dish soap and water and you can see the extra dye come out, mostly with red and black clothing they did well for a few years there but now it happens again. ya dish soap and water works great too. ive done that too. i started with the vinegar after leaving a tito shirt in water for 2 days and it sucked all the color out and came out pink. so i thought maybe i'll try vinegar. Glad you got the fig, I can't wait to get this. The jumpsuit looks so cool. Did the box come in good condition? box condition looked perfect, but on closer inspection, the sides were a little smashed in with some box wear/fraying on the sides. @cdnmadness the JYD pose needs his ankles moved all the way forward then delicate tinkering and balancing finding the right knee, leg and ab crunch positioning lol the HTM sticklegs are bad looking especially with the massive thick tall boots. but i think HTM was a more top heavy guy and let's just say it's not the first thing that would make me future endeavor MDT. and oh ya heenan... dang i forgot about that one. im never taking that hefty garbage bag jacket off so it didn't occur to me to prevent staining there. re: the staining cause. idk the dyes are just fresh? if you can get to a figure close to it's initial release, i think you're usually good. like i bought a flashback elite yoko with no stains. then several months later bought another one, with black stains all over the red belt piece wormnation that is the worst. so close yet so far away

Would save collectors from possibly damaging the material by either leaving it in the water or vinegar (whatever people use) too long, or not having the right mixture, etc.

So this HTM is out now 🤷🏻♂️
Something else that I’ll have to be on the hunt for.

I'll have to keep an eye out for it. I went to GameStop yesterday and they restocked the last 2.
