I would suspect that the new articulation (or lack thereof) would be a big reason that the basics aren’t selling very well. It’s not a bad set, really... I agree, it appears that collectors who were buying basics have stopped due to the changes in articulation and this has affected sales. NXT basics have been scrapped and now the Flashback basics are also scrapped, I think the only basics left will be the ones released in the main basic line.

The legends basics sold very well in my area initially. The problem is, the same 4 figures have occupied these pegs for 9 (going on 10) straight months. Everybody who wanted them has already purchased them, and the employees simply re-order when the pegs get low. The subsequent orders begin to sit.
It's a simple problem, but they just haven't fixed it.
The real warmer is Elite 54 Charlotte, not the legends.

Drat. Mine are still at retail. Was looking forward to grabbing the set today. Use brickseek and find a store that has them marked down. You might have to go to multiple stores to get a whole set. Also do not buy any figures that looked to be opened in any way. Thanks, that’s what I did today. But brickseek came up with zero quantity for every WM in the area (even the ones around me that I know have them on the pegs). It did tell me which store had them marked down tho so that helped. Unfortunately those stores are a journey away LOL

Before the changes on the basics, I bought them AS much as the elites! Now the only ones ive bought were the FB ones I mentioned(AND I got rid of those!) and ONE Bobby Roode, just to do a headswap with the NXT elite. That's it.

found a bunch of the series 2 basics today and they were $5 as well, so the discount carries over between the series’.
