So I figured this warranted its own thread. www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/2018/10/1/17925736/wwe-network-changes-reportI buy most of this. Everyone knows Vince wants two things. Domination, and money. So to see rumors going around that he's buying up more non WWE/ECW/WCW libraries (TNA, ROH, regional stuff etc) doesn't surprise me one bit. Also, tiered subscriptions doesn't surprise me either. Honestly I'm surprised that hasn't come sooner. 10 for WWE only content, 15 to add PPVs, 20 for entire library wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. 15 is still a steal compared to 60 via Comcast or whoever your cable provider is. But if he's able to add, say, TNA, IWC, ROH and regional stuff like PWX, the Lucha scene down in the Southwest, and some older Japanese stuff because of the success NJPW's service has had...I dunno if I'd pay 20 because I don't use the library a ton anymore having watched a lot of what I wanted and now seeing everything live but I know there's an audience for it even if I just consider a lot of WF people and not the millions who aren't on here. What do y'all think?

I still think it's more than fair. I may stick with the 9.99 but even the 14 dollar version is far better than the 50-60 we used to spend.

Been hearing this for years. I don't think it'll change anytime soon

I would gladly pay $20/mo if they would just put all the 87-92 era content on there. No supertars, no wrestling challenge, most PrimeTimes not loaded.

WWE can do whatever they want to the network but I don't believe more people will subscribe. I think it's safe to say that subscriptions are saturated - if you are going to be on the network, you already are on it.

I think it's safe to say that subscriptions are saturated - if you are going to be on the network, you already are on it. I think this is a fairly accurate assessment. Sure, subscriber numbers are always fluctuating a bit, but by and large I'd agree that most people who want it already have it. They seem to want to model themselves after HULU, which is a big mistake because they're product isn't the same. HULU has a whole bunch of new network TV series and movies every season that continually attract a much wider audience than any wrestling related product ever will. But hey, if there's one thing that inevitable in the world of media streaming it's that prices will always go up eventually.

Tiered subscriptions is inevitable, just a matter of when. I'd prefer if it wasn't over $15, but I'd do $20 as long as there's content I want to watch that wouldn't be available otherwise.

i'd probably cancel.. and get it one month a year to binge watch everything at once.. I've slowed down on most of the things there and really only watch ppv's and nxt... although I've been watching some of the mae young matches.

I only get it for Mania and use a 1 month free trial each time. I actually don't think I will for the next Mania though. Just so bored with what WWE has become.

With work and my family, I'm pretty much only watching the PPV's. I don't have the time to sit there and watch archived footage as much as I did like 4 or 5 years ago. So if they raise the price by too much or if PPV's aren't in the lowest tier I'll probably just cancel.

I'd probably pay, would be fine with either really, as said above we used to pay 50-60 for PPV so still a great deal. If they jumped up to 20 though id want to see someone else's content coming in (ROH, TNA, NJPW, Evolve, PWG, etc...)

They are always looking to buy video libraries of other promotions, but they dont even upload the stuff they already own. Where is WCW Saturday Night, WCW Worldwide, WCW Main Event, ECW Hardcore TV, etc?

I think it was like a year ago they sent out a survey and one of the questions was regarding tiered subscriptions. I think it would probably be reasonably priced. Right now it’s a steal at $9.99 for the amount of content available. They may not get too many more subscribers, but they could make more of a profit from existing customers.

I plan on canceling my subscription soon cause I can just watch the highlights on YouTube. right now I only keep my subscription to watch NXT. I feel like NXT is the only wwe brand I can watch the episodes entirety. plus wwe network sucks on the PS4, it keeps losing connection and showing ads.

If they jumped up to 20 though id want to see someone else's content coming in (ROH, TNA, NJPW, Evolve, PWG, etc...) I think $20 would be my limit. I'm fine with what I pay now, but I don't watch it a lot. I mainly watch the archive stuff, a little each night, so I'd definitely want to keep that part. I would love to re-watch TNA and PWG from the beginning and I'd like to give Evolve a try.

I still think they should live stream the weekly RAW and Smackdown on there for the full price of $20 or whatever they decide for the full library. I'm sure they are unable to with certain TV deals and contracts but most people have a smart phone these days and it would be majorly easier to do that way for a lot of people. I spend hours on Youtube at times so it would be no different, especially with a pause and play feature on there.

I'd watch just for the TNA libraries, but you can subscribe to another site to see that. I do wish WWE would add more content to their Network, especially the Top 10s and the Rivalries Specials those were great, we need more stuff like that.
