it was just too soon for a new legends line and we were in/coming out of the 2nd depression for cryin out loud. once legends/flashbacks got going, they should have tried one more time with the legends line. hec, if they started again now and rereleased eveyone made in flashbacks with the origina legends packging, id buy em all. just to have a 200+ fig set of legends in legends packages.

People keep saying the Road Warrior attires were a poor choice when that is probably their most legendary look. To me it was watching them every Saturday night on the Superstation with their NWA squash matches. I don’t consider the red their legendary look I consider it their WWF look. But the Legends Series 1 attires are what I picture in my mind when I think the Road Warriors. The only attire I feel was a mistake was Snuka in boots. Yes, he wore them occasionally but he should have been barefoot in either the tigger striped or leopard print trunks. I completely agree with this. I'd also add the it was the wrong attire choice for Sgt Slaughter and Roddy Piper.

But I would say most legends collectors are in their late 20s/early 30s and recognize the red/black LOD as the ultimate version. Also since those were the colors they primarily used in WWE, it only makes sense that Mattel should have led with this attire for their debut legends line.

True, plus WWF was a global product, is never heard of the nwa in New Zealand
