The guy's name is customboss2016. You could find him on ebay, brother. Thanks, talking to him now to see who he has and how much he wants for them. I saw the pictures of the Brutus and Hammer and they look amazing. He has some great customized parts and figures for sale. I saved him as a seller like 2 years ago, hes great. He does combined shipping if you're from the U.S., too like me. That $16 will scare lots of folks away otherwise. But man, I want a 3D printer now lol

Ever since that episode of Big Bang Theory when Raj and Howard got a 3D printer I've wanted one myself. Right now I'm looking to order a R&B Hammer and Mega Maniacs Brutus but he said he's got a lot of orders right now so he is going to message me when he has more available. Hopefully, it won't be too long.

Also constantly has 2UP's for sale, and unpainted parts and figure projects for the buyer to complete. I really dont care if the Valentine or whoever is legit. Because to be honest, I'm not a millionaire and i have a wife and 3 kids. Bad combo for the $20k figure market haha. It's still a really cool figure to have. They've been going for $100-125 I'd say. But for sure, those 3D printers are the boss. I want one seriously.

Are they in 2UP size? Or regular? 2UP I wonder if you have a 3D printer, could you resize those HoF heads to the regular size? Damn, that hatless Taker head on a customized purple glove body would be sweet.

I want to display him next to Honky and the other 3 tag teams from 91' and hopefully have them look seemless as if he was a legit figure. It stinks right now, it seems the few guys that really do the top notch custom work really aren't taking any orders atm.

Great Podcast and I really enjoyed the listen and some of the great stories.
My only criticism was that it was little bit too focussed on Zack’s acquisitions and preferences and skipped or only lightly touched on some of the important bits of the collecting world over the last 25 years.
Some that spring to mind include:
- Dusty Rhodes being the original scarce figure in the set and an explanation as to why this was the case. Good to hear the yellow boots story but thought it could’ve been covered more given this was always the holy grail whilst I was growing up. - Bret Hart variants not really covered in detail, I know some collectors in here have paid big money for a black elbow padded red card. Don’t think this got mentioned at all. - No name Seargent Slaughter and some of the other error cards we have seen over the years go for big bucks. Saying that I have not seen any of these for sale in a while. - Funskools were mentioned but only in passing. I know a lot of has to collectors are still intrigued to see if any other faces will pop up on these cards. - Summerslam cards were covered but potentially some other detail on J Hooks and Butterfly cards as well as some of the bio card variations..
I know a bit picky but when something this good happens I am keen for everyone to get the full story.

I know this is the wrong thread, but I figured I would ask here.
Is there any possibility you do something similar to this and bring Jeremy in for a Jakks classic superstars episode? Could go over who was the hardest to sign, how he signed so many, who he almost got, his favorite figure, etc....

I know a bit picky but when something this good happens I am keen for everyone to get the full story. Great points, I think we need a part II. Other points that could have been covered more: -Differences between the Bret prototype in the mailaway ad and the red card figure. -More talk of why certain figures warmed shelves, i.e. Bushwackers/Rockers and that probably causing scarcity of LOD and Nasty Boys in stores and then the end of the 2 packs. -More fantasy lineups you wish Hasbro had made or speculation on who else may have been planned but canceled. Like why do most waves have 6 figs per assortment, but some have 5 or 7 in the case of the green cards. Was Diesel or someone else planned for the green card and cancelled late on? Certainly seems like Crush and Yoko were late additions to the green set. I get why maybe Zach wanted to redo it, it seems like they just went through the Hasbro guide that Hasbromaniacs put out and just added they're own experiences and history along the way. Maybe they should have prepared more of an outline of topics before recording? Also, just listened to the Q and A episode, and was bummed not to hear much more Hasbro stuff come up. And, was I the only one screaming HART FOUNDATION during both the Hasbro special and the Q and A when they were talking about dream 2 packs they would want. Easily the biggest team missing from the Hasbro era.

Easily the biggest team missing from the Hasbro era.I always wondered this too, even the backs of the cards don't show Crush or Yokozuna, just the other 5 from the green card series and the KotR ring. Kind of odd that they added a repainted Crush and Yokozuna and not USA Lex, USA Lex (In July 1993 he turned face to slam Yokozuna on the USS Intrepid) was around a few months before Evil Crush (turned heel on Savage in October of 1993). Would be interesting if they did pull someone from the set to find out who it could have been, Jerry Lawler would make sense, he had a huge feud around the time that these figures were getting made but could have been pulled from due to his legal troubles in late 1993. I agree with you that during the Hasbro years, 1990-1994, that the Hart Foundation are the biggest team missing from the line. Kind of odd that the tag teams that were going to be released with series 2 in early 1991 were the Rockers, Demolition, the Bushwhackers, and the Rhythm and Blues, but not the WWF Tag Team Champions at the time the Hart Foundation. However, it does appear that the Hart Foundation were supposed to come out in the next Tag Team set with the Nasty Boys and Legion of Doom in Series 3 or 4, but by the time those series were released the Hart Foundation broke up and Jim Neidhart looked different (new foundation attire). Another 2-pack that would have been awesome for the series with the Nasty Boys and LOD would have been Power & Glory.

The rumours of Diesel and face Lex Luger being in the orange card set and KOH Owen being in the black series always made sense to me from the logic that Hasbro would want to ration the big ticket names per series, rather than have a series of big names all in one and then a series with only midcarders and jobbers for the next one - like they had 1-2-3 Kid and Borga as the big name new characters in the green cards, Giant Gonzalez and the HeadShrinkers in the blue series, Doink and the Steiners in the purple series, etc. So for that reason I never considered if USA Luger could’ve been a series 11 release, but time-wise I guess he would’ve been a good fit for that series, particularly as he was always just going to be a re-paint, and he was feuding with Borga anyway. Maybe if Hasbro knew more in advance that the line would end with the green cards then they might’ve thrown-out all of the big names at the end for a final cash-in - a green card series with Kid, Borga, Bomb, Luger, Diesel, Owen and Jarrett anyone? It’s a shame the line didn’t either start a couple of years earlier or last a year or so longer so we could’ve got Dynamite Kid or KOH Owen, since we’re never going to get either in the Retro line unfortately But then we might’ve lost someone important from line who we did get - the whole run was just too short...

Credit where credit is due, though...for a four year run, they pumped out eleven series with roughly 85 unique characters/gimmicks. They definitely made the most of what they had to work with, without sacrificing the rule of thumb that there need be a consistent pattern of top names to sate new buyers.

Absolutely; and still loved over 25 years later. Imagine what we could've had if the line had gotten a run as long as Jakks did, or the current Mattel run...

But then he jumped to WCW in late 94', could have been why he was cut from the set. Power and Glory is great too! Also, the Beverlys, I've seen the slide for them, just wonder if they would have been in the wave with LOD and Nasty Boys and potentially Hart Foundation too? Or if they would have been for 93' but then they decided not to do 2 packs again.

Not sure the Beverly's would have been around at the time they would have been working on the tag team wave with LOD and the Nasty Boys, they came out in 1992 so Hasbro would have had to start working on them by mid 1991. It is possible, they were apart of the WWF in late 1991 (I think they debuted around September?), though, I can't see why if they were the 4th team that they wouldn't have been released since they were still apart of the WWF in 1992 when that tag team set came out. But, then again, this is all just speculation. For me, of the two tag teams, I would have preferred Power & Glory - was never a fan of the Beverly's.

That's what I figured, they were probably in consideration (Beverlys) for 93'. Wether as 2 separate carded figs like the Steiners or if they were planning to still do 2 packs at some point. But, I think they canned the 2 packs because of poor sales, and I blame the Bushwackers and Rockers sitting on shelves forever for causing this. If they had done 4 more teams in 93' not sure who they would have done, teams were really slim at that point. I guess: Beverlys, New Foundation, Money Inc., and Disasters in proper matching attire could have been done. Or reissue Nasty Boys as they were so hard to find first time around. LOD too, but they would have been gone by then I think.

Those photograph slides are absolute red herrings.
WWF sent out tons of the exact same ones to all of their licensees.

Just a year earlier and later would have been fantastic! I wasn't really into the product much in 88', but I just think of if they had at least gone fuller sets with 90' (89' roster) w/ 12 single cards and 4 tag team packs like they did in 91' and 92'. Could have added 2 more tag teams and 4 more singles guys. Would have been sweet to get Hart Foundation and Powers of Pain. And then some more singles like Tito, Bravo, Bad News, Martel. And I would have loved to get at least one more year or a year and a half to cover at least into mid 95'ish roster. Quebecers, MOM, Double J, USA Luger, KOH Owen, Backlund, Diesel, Taker in purple, Bulldog in shorts, Bret #3, Shawn #3, Razor #3, Kid #2 (the attire he's wearing in his 1st bend em' would be cool), Dean Douglas, Diesel #2, Sid #2, King Mabel, Lawler, Sparky Plugg, Mantaur, Hakushi, Jean Piere Lafeet, Doink #2, Yoko w/ beard and his more common red tights. My nostalgia starts to fade into later 96' when the product starts changing more into the attitude era, so I'm ok if it ends slightly before that point.
