We used to have a member of the Mattel team come on the boards and give us info from time to time. I feel like this is something they would have shared with us. I think the only reason that member doesn't come on here anymore is they forgot there password. That has to be the reason. He just forgot his password. I mean I know how it is when you forget your password to a site and you can't remember the email you signed up with and then it's a big to do to get a new password.

That's unfortunate. I was lucky enough to get Backlund when he first popped up on the site but now I fear for Sherri and Dunne being unattainable more or less. Having these figures on WWE Shop was the right decision or even let Target/Walmart have them online to curb the scalpers and avoid another Harley Race situation.

It was a mistake to sell a WWE product, one that sold like crazy, on the WWE website and they'll make sure to never allow that to happen again.
All righty then...

Why change what ain’t broke? 🤷🏽♂️ The system has always been broke. Mattel has yet to figure out how to give us figures they consider “niche”. I applaud them for changing things up and trying something new. Waves of exclusive series are going away in favor of a single exclusive packed in with the regular elites. These series haven’t hit stores yet so no one should be complaining right now. Lets wait and see what happens. As far as chases, they are meant to be hard to find. That’s the point of a chase figure. You have to be persistent and a bit lucky to get them or a pay a little bit extra.

This forum is filled with children and adults who don’t understand business and contracts. If you hold yourself in company that you believe is so unsophisticated and immature for your classy self, that's on you. Feel free take your leave. Like you stated, all your great immense knowledge will be wasted on us dolts anyway. I was merely pointing out the fact Mattel is attempting to make up for making WWE money on what is ultimately a WWE product, regardless of whom was originally scheduled to sell it. And I bet if Walmart actually gave two rips about WWE action figures and customers, and not just the term "exclusivity", they'd be begging for the opportunity to unload some Backlunds to WWE when some stores are sitting on pegs of them (not a widespread occurrence, but just enough for certain people to get their lols in).

So what about the ones that were on RSC? How did they get those?

They probably otdered them from the shopzone like we did. It’s the Rockers set all over again, but instead of Mattel Shop getting them by mistake the wwe shopzone did.
Now that’s a distribution issue that is entirely Mattel’s fault. lol

Neither here nor there, but is it not possible that it was a shared exclusive? Like the Funko POP Surfer Sting & Lex Luger 2-Pack is with FYE?

I haven’t listened to the podcast, but I would guess if they are saying Hawkins confirmed it it was said. Today on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast Hawkins mentioned that Mattel confirmed to them that Bob Backlund on WWE Shop was a mistake and was never suppose to happen. So I guess we shouldn’t expect to see Pete Dunn on the website, unfortunately.

Grown ass adults bitching that they can’t find a figure easily, that’s been available for maybe 2-3 weeks. Can’t be that the lack of product on the pegs and shelves are the stores’ fault. Nope, grab the torches and pitchforks. It’s Mattel’s distribution flaws. Or my favorite, “They need better paint apps and correct accessories/deco... but they also need to drop the prices because these don’t fit my budget anymore”. My kids haven’t eaten in 3 weeks AND I don’t have the Flashback Harley Race Figure first.

At this point Mattel is successful in spite of themselves. Figures are almost impossible to find, way too may damn exclusives that also are impossible to find, figures people actually want ridiculously short packed. All about supply and demand. There seems to be demand but absolutely no supply.
