He was suppose to be a maniac heel, but he's just a more generic version of himself and the whole Bane thing is dumb.

Yes. In my opinion, rather than feuding over the IC title they should've been going at it for the Universal title. If I had my way, Dean would've attacked Seth so brutally that night that he would be off TV for about 2 months. In that time, Strowman would've taken the Universal Title at Crown Jewel and eventually dropped it to Dean around TLC. At this point you would have Rollins come back as a surprise on one episode of Raw saying he was going to put everything between him and Ambrose behind him and he just wants to move on with his career. Later that night, he faces Lashley to try to win back his Intercontinental Title and he is right about to win but Ambrose causes the distraction allowing Lashley to retain. Over the next few weeks leading up to the Rumble, Ambrose costs Rollins his matches and beats him down but Seth is still adamant that he won't fight his former Shield Brother. The week before the Rumble, Ambrose interrupts Rollins' promo and makes a remark about Roman Reigns (who hasn't been mentioned in the feud until this point) causing Rollins to finally snap and attack Ambrose. He demands to be added to the match between Ambrose and Strowman but Vince/HHH say that he has to earn it in the Rumble. Seth enters at No. 1 and goes on to win the match. Later that night, Seth interferes in the UV title match ensuring Ambrose wins and challenges him to a match at WrestleMania for the title. In between the Rumble and Mania, you do a mini-program between Strowman and Rollins as Ambrose defends his title in the Chamber. That's just something I've come up with in the space of 5-10 minutes and I think it's a far better story in the long term than what WWE would have planned. It gets Rollins even more over as the top babyface in Reigns' absence and truly establishes Ambrose as the top heel. Now I just feel like Ambrose is going to be lost in the mid-card shuffle heading into Mania season. Great stuff.... I agree that the Ambrose heel turn has been a miss. IMO? Mrs Ambrose dropping her 2 cents on Commentary hasn't helped either. I think they've missed some great opportunities to make Rollins even more popular and Ambrose despised. He could've been white hot as a heel, legitimately the most despised man in the company (not including Ciampa lol) if they played their cards right...

To me, it seems like they tried to recreate Ciampa vs Gargano. Can you imagine if a few weeks after Ciampa turned on Gargano, Ciampa came out to a live crowd at Full Sail and said: "Ew, yous smell." Both guys would probably be working the indies by now.

Absolutely, yes.
When the reports were circulating that Ambrose was about to turn heel, I hoped that if it came to pass, that Ambrose would be a nasty, vicious, sadistic superstar with no remorse, probably harkening back to his last FCW match when he repeatedly mashed Regal's head against the exposed turnbuckle until Regal's ear got cut open. As others in this thread have said, a main roster version of Ciampa. However instead what we got, was he just came out and whined about the hygiene of the crowd? That was incredibly lazy writing, and the entirely wrong direction. They've messed up the characterisation of Dean Ambrose so badly, that I honestly just do not care about him at this point. And I used to think Dean Ambrose was great.

He’s certainly not much of a ‘lunatic’ it all started to go downhill for him after he lost to Lesnar in like 5 minutes at Mania

Just when I thought they struck a bit of a spark tonight they turn right around and he gets batted down by Nia Jax. I don't think there are many more nails to put in the coffin.

I thought he cut his best heel promo so far, especially when he got in hhh’s face, but the Nia stuff just killed all the momentum he had just gained.

I've never been a big fan of his , but on Twitter people are on the AEW craze and how Deans been mistreated in his WWE career and deserves better. He's held every championship and a Money in the Bank. The only thing he hasn't done is win a Royal Rumble and main event Wrestlemania.
If that's being misused or mistreated sign me up.

Very interesting news about Ambrose potentially giving notice. There's no doubt he has the recognizability as one of WWE's top stars that it would at the very least peak the interest of regular WWE fans to check out wherever he ends up going. If AEW is able to snag him it would definitely get some fresh eyes on that company.

I always said Ambrose had the potential to be the biggest star in this company following The Shield splitting back in 2014. It was insane how over he was back in 2014-2015 and they did everything possible to sabotage the fans' interest in him (sound familiar?). Never got a single win over Rollins, then lost constantly in his feud against Bray, then got fed to Lesnar and again to Rollins. By the time they finally gave him the title it was too late and only to appease the fans to try to get them interested in Smackdown for the brand split. Ambrose should have been the breakout star of The Shield, but Vince obviously only had eyes for Roman.
His heel turn has, predictably, been a disaster and it's clear now was only done for the shock value without any long-term plans for him. After about three weeks, I could unfortunately already tell it was going to be bad when they actually did that stupid ass segment of him getting a giant needle in his ass at a doctor's office.
I really don't know what to make of this news of him wanting to finish up with the company by the time Mania is over, mainly because we've seen so many of these stories already and it's impossible to tell what's true. I could definitely see him being frustrated and wanting to leave, but it also seems odd to me that he would want to leave while his wife is still with the company full-time.

AJ was still in WWE for another year and a half after Punk left. She was but I think it wasn't too long after he officially left that she informed the company that she'd be finishing up her contract and then leaving. I may be wrong, though. Also, Rene was just given this new "promotion" of sorts of being the first female commentator, so it's hard for me to imagine that she wouldn't want to stick around for at least a few more years. AJ was really wrapping up her career back when Punk left. Ambrose has been my favorite for years, so if he were to leave I would love to see him go somewhere where he could be himself and work with more of an edge to his character. Where that's NJPW, ROH, AEW... who knows
