Not an attire, but the choice to use the Wrestlemania III grinning head for super intense and angry Wolfpac Randy Savage was truly baffling.
The Wrestlemania VIII (gold attire) head with darker hair would have been perfect for that figure.

Legend Killer Randy Orton was pretty disappointing. Thought it would be his Summerslam 04 or WMXX attire. Instead it was the same ol black trunks.

E41 123 Kid I was really hoping for 123 Kid in his Summerslam 95 or Survivor Series 95 attire. This! Sean Waltman is one of my all time wrestlers, top 5 ever for me, and young me watching and finding as much as 1-2-3 Kid matches on YT as I possible could. I get that the E41 attire fits for historical purposes. It's what he wore after he beat Razor the first time. But man 95 to 96 1-2-3 Kid gear is excellent stuff. Red, Blue, Purple, Black and the match color headband and wristbands. I just loved those 4 colors for 1-2-3 Kid in 95-96. And I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointing with that gear being picked for that 1-2-3 Kid Elite.

APA was more of a backstage act to me. They were more entertaining in those segments than in the ring. I can’t recall one memorable match as APA and had to look up their ring attire just to be reminded what they wore but there are countless card games, backstage brawls, and bar fights that are vivid in my memory. I feel jeans and t-shirts are much more representative of the APA that most people remember. Now the shirts with sleeves when first revealed prior to the running change were a big disappointment. I feel like most people forget APA and acolytes were not the same.

Well, the Legends Series aside... Elite 28 Demolition Crush - I'd have much preferred Kona (or Evil) Crush Your right! I would have preferred a Kona myself, especially since they've only released one version of Crush.

Ken Shamrock. He should’ve came with green or blue attire. APA as well. Street attire APA with molded shirts elites was a poor choice.

Battle Packs 45 Road Dogg
I was so excited we were getting another Road Dogg. But it still made no sense that it was a 99 version of Road Dogg with his pants & kick pads from his latest run. Also I would've rather had him come with X-Pac instead of Triple H considering at one point in 99 Road Dogg & X-Pac were the remaining 2 members of DX.

What reveal for a figure had you the most disappointed and not because of anything wrong with the figure itself but you were anticipating a particular attire for that wrestler? Mine has to be Sherri. The figure we’re getting is specific to an event but not that iconic and we don’t have a matching Macho King to go along with her. If they wanted to go with a major event then WM7 woulda been a much better choice. The best option woulda been the black dress she wore on multiple occasions and photo shoots. I get that wanted to do a 2 in 1 but no one was really hankering for a wrestling attire Sherri. I like the figure and will end up getting it whenever I find it but seems like we coulda gotten a better one and this will likely be the only Sherri we will ever get. I agree 100%. I wonder if the Jakks RSC Sherri black dress will fit her?

Legends Snuka is the biggest for me personally. I know Mattel wanted to try and do attires Jakks didn't do yet, but obviously a barefoot trunks Snuka would be more iconic especially since they did Piper/Orton from the appropriate era. The other ones mentioned here (Sherri, Macho Man, Triple H, etc.) they'll likely compensate on if not already rectified (Surfer Sting, LOD) but given the news about Snuka, it's unlikely we'll get his most iconic look. Thankfully making a custom of him isn't too difficult if you're willing to use ML parts. ML parts??

Booker T being king booker instead of 2003 style booker with the baseball gloves. Hmmm tough. Definitely the stupid fan vote fhat voted stupid modern big show over debut Paul wightbig show. Elite 47 rock using that stupid 2001 head.

Man there’s a bunch. Elite 38 APA was hot garbage. They never wrestled in that attire, that was more for what they wore in backstage segments. The fact that the best of attitude era Triple H was in anything other than the hHh trunks from 1999-2001 is a complete letdown. To me, that’s the definitive Triple H figure and they’ve been constantly letting us down. The first set of elite new day attires from E42, 43, and 44. That blue attire is so dull, I was really hoping for their pink and blue color scheme from 2015. The fact that the Hogan ringside exclusive was the American Made Hogan was questionable. I know that they planned on releasing that nWo Hollywood Hogan down the line but jeeze they should have done it sooner. Other than 1985 Hogan, which was what they gave us in defining moments, Hollywood Hogan was easily the second most desired. They instead gave us 2014 Hogan, and a 1993 Hogan, which I don’t think anyone was anticipating. APA are definitely my choice. The t shirts could’ve worked well in old style basics.

Hands down the E32 Rey Mysterio flashback. Rey had a ton of colorful attires during his WCW years. So of course Mattel goes with red/black/white for his only flashback. I'm hoping we get more fb Reys beyond the Halloween Havoc figure now that he re-signed. But that figure is such a head-scratcher for me. A shame as the figure itself was great. The parts used, scale, etc. Just would have been so much better in blue and yellow.
