Who were the greatest rivals of his career? Triple H Chris Benoit Brock Lesnar Eddie Guererro AJ Styles Jeff Jarrett Am I missing anyone?I reckon AJ or HHH would be most fitting. I'd be up for a passing-of-the-torch moment with Chad Gable as well, after a storyline where Kurt is his mentor, gets him over as an upper mid-carder, and then gives him the rub in a retirement match. Samoa Joe. Of course! How did I forget that? It was the best feud of the 00s!

I think an "Amazing" retirement match is a bit too late at this point. He hasnt looked good in any of his return matches to me, his knees are permanently buckled, and he just seems kinda sluggish and gassed easy. He came out hot when he jumped Corbin as the masked luchador guy, but in match terms he hasnt lived up to his past glory.
I could see him in a tag at mania where he pins Corbin and gets the feel good moment and last match. Maybe even a 1 v 1 with Corbin in which Corbin has the upper hand all through the match to make him look good, and angle breaks his ankle at the end for the W
EDIT: Just for the record, I'd love to have seen Kurt do something with Woken / Broken Matt

No Way Jose!
Then No Way can help up Angle, and then Angle can Conga Dance his way out of the WWE in entertaining fashion!

I need Tazz to return, and fight Angle. Both duplex each other over and over until they're both out of the building.
Finish both careers strong.

Could be a good statement win for someone like EC3.

In my ideal world, William Regal or Nigel McGuiness. But more realistically it has to be either AJ or Daniel Bryan.

I didn't know that neither man COULD build a duplex. They could easily go into a business together building duplexes in cities!

Daniel Bryan has nothing on the horizon so far.

In the past Angle has talked about how easy and effortless it is to work with AJ and that he feels like he really doesn't have to do any work when he's in the ring with him. That's honestly what he needs for one final match. It would be nice if he could have one match, put everything into it and go out looking like the old Kurt. Working with AJ would probably be his best bet, although he's also said in the past how Rollins and Bryan are both dream opponents for him before he calls it quits.

It would be fitting for it to be John Cena. Gives them both a match without having to waste a regular roster guy.

Angles matches are painful to watch now. He moves like he's got a board strapped to his back and neck.

He must've taken a physical nosedive. I think his first match back was the Shield, right? It wasn't THAT long before that match that he could still go, and go hard. He was on the Indies for awhile, still having great matches. I don't know if he got another injury or what, but when he's out wrestling I get the same feeling I did during Hogan's last few matches (like 2007 and on) - he has to stop before it goes bad...not wrestling bad, bad bad. The former cyborg reminds me of a porcelain doll, I'm afraid he's going to break. The Drew match was unsettling, you hate seeing your heroes go down like that. The Corbin match wasn't as bad, but still made him look like a broken down old man. Now if he has a real, balls out (figuratively), killer Kurt Angle match left in him it should be with someone like Bryan. If not, Cena can probably protect him enough to get a passable match out of him. Anyone lower on the card would be an insult. No offense to Gable, but its clear he's never going to be a big singles star.

I think it should be Bryan or Styles. Kurt deserves a good final match but at this stage he can barely move let alone pull off a great match, it would need to be with someone who could carry him.

Theirs a long list of guys that could work or that would be interesting.
Benjamin Cena Bryan Gable Gargano Styles
Just depends on how interested WWE is in making this a big time deal.A match with Bryan is still in many peoples eyes a "Dream Match" and would give Angle one last shot at the world title. With Benjamin,Cena & Styles you have built in history and a feud and win by Benjamin could jumpstart his career again(highly unlikely that the WWE cares about him being in his early 40's and rarely used) while Gable & Gargano could use it to propel them into the upper mid to main event scene while deliver a great in ring match up.
