Absolutely wonderful piece.
We’ll always question the legitimacy of newly found Hasbro pieces, and that’s a good thing, it causes discussion and keeps the line more vibrant than ever. We love it, well, apart from the price of Hasbro pieces.
I still have my personal doubts about other items that turned up over the last year.
However, this piece is absolutely amazing. It existed, there’s proof, it has a great story and THANKFULLY, it’s now relevant again.
This is exactly why I love collecting. Great stuff!

It’s a regular ring with a custom sticker on it. It’s not like Hasbro mass produced these. It’s pretty awesome that he found one that was at the HOF but thats where the rareness stops. Everyone is over thinking these with the “found new Hasbro items”. It’s a custom that was actually at a wwf event. The ring itself being customized is really no different than if a mom put custom decals on some for her sons bday. It’s just really cool that it was for an actual wwf event

It’s just really cool that it was for an actual wwf event That is a horrendous comparison. This is entirely different because it's a customised piece, created by the WWF. It wasn't for commercial release, it wasn't to cash in, they customised a select few for a special event. It's a historical piece that is newly found as it was a generally forgotten entity. When has it been discussed in recent years? It has a proper story, it's documented, there are photos. The fact WWF did this IS what makes it special. Nobody is saying Hasbro released a random bunch of rings.

Don't recall many photos from the early HOF events appearing in the PWI family of magazines, but George Napolitano's Wrestling All Stars/Ringside Wrestling magazines usually had many photos. Perhaps clearer photos are in one of those magazines.

It’s just really cool that it was for an actual wwf event Radiohead played versions of "Nude" for 10 years before releasing it commercially. You're saying that it actually wasn't a Radiohead song because it was only played for those live in attendance?

If anyone from WWF/WWE touches it, alters it, and certainly displays it at an actual WWF event it is legit to me. I was listening on the podcast about the ring but I cant remember where it was found. A really cool piece. Now all you need is the dollar store flag that was in it at the ceremony!!!

If that’s how you’ve read my comment then it’s no wonder you’re struggling to understand why this isn’t a custom made by “some kids mom” or whatever it was you spowted. Just to clarify, my point is the opposite of yours. I understand why this piece is a brilliant piece and in my opinion, one of the better finds in recent years, BECAUSE it’s an in-house WWF custom piece. Not what you said. Edit - and changing your name to “This Forum is Full of Idiots” is a bit petty isn’t it? We’re only have a friendly debate about a wrestling ring. Pipe down a bit mate.

Cool piece of Hasbro history, even though it wasn't a specifically made exclusive item.

I mean its a limited piece & obviously rare to have because not many of those stickers were likely made....but being realistic, it kinda looks like trash. If the ring was given to me Id have likely peeled the sticker off for the original WWF logo

Also, this sticker is NOT over the regular WWF logo sticker. There is no sticker under.

I assume he meant in the context of a kid back in 94' getting that ring from the event, probably wouldn't care about HoF sticker. Current day collector, would be nuts to remove it.

It'd be akin to using a Kamala moon belly to customize with. Ludacris. Blasphemy. As a kid.. I'd beat that kid up if I was a kid again.

The WWF logo looks much better then the original HOF logo, Id much preferred to have that. In reality I pealed the WWF sticker off too cause WWF rings didnt have logos in the middle when I was growing up and I wanted to keep it so close to the real thing, it was like being in the ring. Today me, Id just sell the HOF ring and buy more Hasbros & LJNs with the money.
