People always overlook Beefcake, but he was legitimately a top face from 88-his parasailing accident, and a pretty over heel in the Dream Team, including the tag team title run. Maybe it was because he got the Hogan rub, but that was how you made a star face back then. His feuds with Honky and Perfect were both hot, and it can be argued that he was a higher tier face than Duggan during that period. He would've been IC champion if not for the accident. If not for his WCW run and all of the subsequent Hogan cronyism he'd likely get the respect that he deserves for his WWF run. He did plenty to deserve the honor, and is one of the more iconic characters of the 80s.

Something tells me he's gonna be the one that rambles on forever this year.

Have they confirmed Hogan to be inducting him? (I mean it’s a sure thing since they’re pals but still)

Hogan inducting Beefcake? Shock of the year. Time for twitter to explode in feigned outrage. A vocal contingent of fans are about to be 'done' for the 15th time, as threats of canceling the network, burning Wrestlemania tickets, and never watching the show again are angrily tweeted into the ether, these promises going unfulfilled as usual.

Hogan shouldve been the one to induct Hillbilly Jim last year.

In Hogan’s speech, he kinda made it seem like the million WCW gimmicks were before The Barber.

What about Texas Tornado? Von Erich may have been hot coming in? But he soon cooled off...... Definitely hot when he beat Mr. Perfect though pretty much any mid card to upper mid card good guy would have been over beating Perfect. Definitely went down hill very fast. By Survivor Series 1990 he was an after thought and was basically just there. He was a guy they just used to fill a slot on the card much like a Greg Valentine during the time period. They had no feud for him or plans for a feud, just placed him on the card when they needed an opponent or a team member.

As Mr Perfect Hennig was a absolutely top drawer heel that fans couldn't wait to see beaten. In the short term Kerry was a fine replacement for Brutus but has the Beefer beaten him the roof would've went off the place. KVEs run was so poor McMahon had to abandon his original plan & take the belt off him much quicker.
