What kind of ery is that Mysterio? Lynch looks like an orange-haired, Amy Poehler.

I don't remember the last time I've looked at every figure and thought they were all good, basic wise. I like that Rey, even though it looks very odd. After seeing the Elite Rey from E67 I assumed this would be a current Rey, not a flashback. Even though he isn't peg warming here in the UK that bad, I'm sick of Nakumura figures, already. He reminds me of Sheamus in that when he came out at first he was sought after so they put him in every freaking set to the point no one wanted him.

That Drew head looks better than the NXT one,may have to get this one and swap it with the elite, if I can ever find the elite.

Just Daivari for me. I mostly buy Elites, with just the occasional Basic for a placeholder or to convert to Elite. I’m already thinking about who to use as a base for Elite Daivari.

Seriously...enough with the Nakamura figures! Eventually the WWE section in every Walmart is just going to be a barren wasteland of nothing but Basic 91 Nakamura, Elite 63 Nakamura and Battle Packs 57 Nakamura/Balor. you are right.... what we need is more Roman Reigns and Triple H figs!!! I wouldn't mind that. The Roman Reigns and Triple H figures actually seem to sell pretty well.

Who are you gonna use? Not sure. I'm thinking Top Talent 2018 Balor, if the skin tones match. I can get one of those pretty easily around here. EDIT: Just remembered Daivari doesn't wear kickpads. I'm going to have to go through my fodder bin after I get a Daivari figure and see what I've got. Same with the B98 Nese.

Wow, I haven't bought a basic in several years, but the quality has nosedived. This is Jakks level quality. DMac is short, WCW Rey is bare bones, Becky....theres nothing good about that figure, and Daivari is a 'who the hell is that?' figure. The last one of those was the basic Hunico (not the black Sin Cara version). In fact, the chase version looks like a Del Rio. I hope somebody feels guilty charging this much for basics, as these look like 6 dollar figures, not 10.

Will pick up Rey, Drew and Daivari. Don't like Drew's torso though.

I bought 3 but decided to cancel rey mysterio as it is too bare bones. Drew looks fine lack of chest hair but i understand why its a cheaper choice for those that dont care to hunt down those scalper priced figures.

How many different basic Shinsuke Nakamura's is Mattel going to make before they realize they are one of the main problems for distribution??
I've seen Shinsuke basics clogging the pegs in every single store I've been to in the past 2 months. Walmart, Target, you name it.
We will see all of these at 5 Below soon enough, don't worry. The only one I would even consider buying is the Rey Mysterio. And that's only because I'm relatively new to figure collecting/hunting and I dont have a Rey yet.

If they want the Basic line to stay alive then they need to do something spectacular. Like maybe come out with more legends. Maybe an entire series of legends like Hulk Hogan, Andre, Haku, Mr Perfect, Sting, etc. I can tell right away that most of these wont sell.

Lol how do they still keep giving Drew the wrong boots? Is that hard to Google search a picture?

Lol how do they still keep giving Drew the wrong boots? Is that hard to Google search a picture? I'm convinced some of the designers just go off of memory or just flat out don't care about accuracy. The new "Summerslam" Razor basic is a perfect example of this. I understand not getting the squiggly intricate design on the tights for a basic figure but they couldn't even be bothered to give him the correct color boots lol. A lot of the basics were top notch when Bill was designing them but ever since Mattel hired their new design manager it seems like quality and accuracy nosedived.

Wow, I don't even remember Razor ever wearing that attire! Yeah, that's definitely not even close! And again...they have the proper boots (the longer ones that they gave Ted Dibiase) yet they still keep using inaccurate parts!

And again...they have the proper boots (the longer ones that they gave Ted Dibiase) yet they still keep using inaccurate parts! Yeah the short boots look wonky but I think they've used those for all his basics so it's whatever at this point. But that does it make it worse overall when they start with the wrong parts. Again, I totally understand leaving off the intricate detail on the attire and going with all black since it's a basic figure and they might not even be able to do that on an Elite, but since they had to do that it's kinda lame they couldn't even be bothered to get the rest of the details correct including something so simple like the color of the boots. At the end of the day, they're basic figures so it's whatever, but it really is obvious how cheap they've gotten with them over the years and it's kinda sad lol. Since you've never seen that Razor attire, here's a custom I did years ago. One of my favorites. http://instagram.com/p/BEb5lrAlJnK

I agree, I wasn't even focusing on the boots but that looks terrible. If they knew they couldn't do that version of Razor because the deco would cost too much for a basic then why even try it. They could have done his 1993 or 1995 attire which were pretty basic compared to his 1994 attire. Its weird that sometimes Mattel creates figures and they just knock it out of the park and then sometimes this happens.

They could have done his 1993 or 1995 attire which were pretty basic compared to his 1994 attire. Its weird that sometimes Mattel creates figures and they just knock it out of the park and then sometimes this happens. They could have made any number of Razor attires that would have been spot on with that same deco - red, green, yellow, light blue. They managed to basically pick the ONE attire that would look nothing like the actual attire. The Bret Hart is the same deal. They managed to use the oversized '97 chest logo that was used on the HOC 2-pack, instead of the smaller early 90's version that was used on the RSC figure. The graphics are already made, and couldn't be that tough to get right. When Bill was making basics the 2-packs were pretty good, and the basic line occasionally had a deep cut that we would never get as an Elite, ala Sid Justice. Since the designer change, the quality has been pretty pathetic.
