As someone who LIVES for truly great, old school wrestling and figures thereof, I would love to discuss the Hall of Fame series and figures of Hall of Fame inductees. I also think there should be re-releases of figures from the Hall of Fame four packs that people would be interested in. And for the millioneth time, they should make elite two packs that don't cost even more than both figures separately. Either that or reintroduce these BAF four packs among elites and basics.
My last delusion of grandeur for the thread: Crowd fund certain heads for custom builders. I think there are a lot of people who would gladly pay 7 to 12$ for figure heads you can only get direct from Mattel. Similar to the Hasbro Pulse system.
Please share discussion points, and PHOTOS(lots of photos) of your Hall of Fame figures. Moc, loose, posed, displayed, go nuts guys!

Only figures from the 4 packs that could use a re release is Windom, Studd, and Larry Z.

I only use figures of a certain size or they have to be legends, and Studd and Zybysko are major grails for me. I also would love to pieces if they released another Eddie Guerrero elite. We NEED one.

Heenan and Horsemen were easily obtainable on sale for as low as $12.50 and still warmed. These do not need to be re-released.

I really don’t think people would pay extra for custom heads or more importantly Mattel wouldn’t make extra heads to sell a la carte.

With the difficulty that Mattel is having in getting out legends and flashbacks, the last thing we need is a re-release of anything.

How about a Jimmy Hart stable four pack? Greg Valentine Jimmy Hart Dino Bravo Earthquake (debut attire with Canadian flag) I would even like the Earthquake in the really rare brown singlet. Saw him wear it in a page in an old WEF magazine.

Moms and Dads pass on multipacks at the big retailers due to price point. Non-current wrestlers make them a hard sell as well. A 4 pack of elites at $50 is a good deal regardless imo.
Hell, mattel will never please everyone. People cried about the price of the Hardys Brood exclusive. Just the price of two single elites people, geez.

The 4 packs didn’t sell well at all. It’s too high of a price point. Like Hasbro said, moms and dads aren’t spending big money in the toy aisle. Now a days it’s used as more of a shut up device in the stores. If the kid behaves he gets a little toy. Not many people are going in and dropping 50$ unless it’s a special occasion

4 packs don't sell. I got multiples of all 3 for like 8 to 15 bucks on clearance. Plus Studd,Windham and Larry only go for like 10 to 20 each if that.

What about creating a greatest rivalry multi pack series? Including some enticing names like Hogan might get them sold
Hogan, Savage, DiBiase and Andre?
Demolition and Powers of Pain?
Warrior, Rude, Heenan and Earl Hebner

On a trip to California, I bought two of the Heenan Family for $12.50 on clearance at Target. Nitro Notables can still be had at Toys Toys Toys in Ontario Canada for about $30 CAD.

sad but who they chose for the 4 packs was underwhelming . 4 Horsemen literally killed it before it got started. Then the Heenan pack was better but still meh. and Notables wasn't even suppose to hit if yall remember..and luckly ended up being released , and that pack was prob worse than the 4 Horsemen pack. If they re-release anyone it should be the figures that are going for scalp money . (Kerry, Demolition, Akeem/One Man Gang, Martel, etc...) Without these lines though we are doomed. We had 2 lines going only to be squashed. (HOF,FB) and we got the FB in the reg elite line basically and the Retrofest line but its been nothing but re-releases really.and I guess Targets 1 FB figure they get.. now we are down to 1 figure every release now again. It really is a sad time to be a FB collector.

The Horseman set sold well initially, but there just wasn't enough demand on the restock. I think it was an issue similar to the HOF Tito where Mattel didn't have product ready to go, shipped another batch of old product, and then it just sat. The Heenan was tough to find in many areas due to the Horseman set sitting, so then ended up being oversaturated in the areas where it did ship. Both were quality sets, and $50 for 4 Elites seemed like a solid value to parents/grandparents.
The Nitro set was just flat out bad attire selection. Street gear figures are always a tough sell, and definitely not a draw for kids. Nash and Hall both had low-deco ring attires, and have a ton of different gear that they wore. Or you could have swapped in a low-deco figure like Luger or a re-released Giant.
But I think it hit the point where the HOF series wasn't going to be sustainable. WWE doesn't actually have that many names in the HOF signed to merch deals. So they had run through most of the names available unless Mattel would start signing wrestlers directly.

Bill should have been fired over the Nitro Notables set. Horrible attire choices In his defense that was going to be an NWO 4 pack Eddie was thrown together and Zybysko shifted over there after the Hogan thing Right?? I imagine it was going to be Outsiders, Hogan and Macho (or maybe a lesser known star because it would sell based on those 3 anyway) But yes it sucked, but at least we got a great Zybysko figure out of it That Eddie is horrible LOL
