I vaguely remember Jakks having issues signing Dynamite, and someone at WWE appears to have issues with him. I wonder who it is? Probably Kevin. He is probably jealous Dynamite got his teeth knocked out.

How about releasing the Summerslam 1989 attire and packing that with a yellow IC strap? It goes with the Rude they just announced and has IC relevance (as well as being a significant part of his career, winning one of only 3 titles he ever held). You could use it to easily convert that green one above into to an elite so you'd practically be getting 2 Warriors out of it. I immediately thought of that idea when that Rude was first revealed!!! I like the way you think! HOC Warrior wasn’t a champion so instead of the white strap eagle they shoulda gave us the yellow IC. Thought about this as well. I remember thinking that it would have been the best time to throw it in, but what we got was... a white strap title...

What can we update about Hulk Hogan?Bill: It’s still sort of a hazy situation as far as consumer products go. Until we get a concrete answer of yes, we can’t do anything. If we do get a yes, there are still other things to take into consideration as well. I mean, I understood the theory that Hogan's Storm deal is the reason Mattel cannot go forward with figures. But what other considerations could there be? They finally got the clearance to at least produce Chyna. Nothing seems to be hindering Lars "SS" Sullivan being made. Did it hit them personally when they had to pull merch off the shelves? Are they holding a grudge? Are they sore that Hogan's name lends itself to not be a low-demand talent they can shovel into a store exclusive spot? Bringing back into the fold one of the most profitable characters ever should be a no-brainer. Yeah I can kinda see an indication of silver residue on the "X" on the belt I have. The problem is, it is still the men's title mold. Like how Mattel uses the WH Logo mold to produce all 4 of WWE's World Titles. Different paint doesn't make them different championships. Also, Implying women can't be "top talent"? That's racist lol

"a Bob Backlund is not necessarily going to be one that a kid is going to rush out and buy, it’s going to have a more limited appeal."
I have finally come to the conclusion that they will probably never put out a Flashback line again. Mattel's main target is, and always will be kids. And that's fine, who can blame them, right. But they care very little about the adult collector, and it shows.

Just because they don’t have their own dedicated line doesn’t mean they’re not finding ways to release them. The ones they think will sell better are in the main line and the ones they feel are niche are exclusives. The store exclusives Network Spotlight and Survivor Series are split 2 FBs and 2 current. The UE are getting 1 FB per wave. RSC gets at least 2 FB exclusives per year.

A couple of a take away from this:
1. How is Titus not the perfect person to release with the 24/7 belt? A title with a ton of tv time coming with a veteran wrestler who still shows up on tv but never had an elite. You can’t tell me this wouldn’t sell out.
2. So Chyna can be signed and In 3 weeks her initial figure can be started on but they don’t have a release wave yet for a Becky Lynch Elite? That doesn’t make any sense to me.
3. Speaking of Chyna, if they signed Jeff Jarrett wouldnt they make a perfect Elite 2-Pack w/ Intercontinental title?
4. I always laugh when I hear about items not being released because of shelf space issues. In the stories around me, the toy shelf’s are never fully stocked.
5. Why’s it so hard for Mattel to keep people informed where and when their products coming out? If I worked in Mattel’s sales department I would be working on this communication ASAP to make money. As an example, I know approximately release dates and location of all the upcoming Marvel Legends and Transformers product for the rest of the year and some for next year.

Sad to hear how unenthusiastic Bill was about Hogan. Even if WWE gives the ok, there's still checks and balances? Ugh!

Much better Q&A than Ringside's but that's to be expected at this point. Thanks for sharing.

WWE needs to sign Gangrel up so Bill can immediately star working on him! That one would be great in the line He's doing a guest coaching gig at the Performance Center this week and he recently acquired all the copyrights to the Gangrel name. Both are good signs for the future.

We only got a render of Chyna. Her figure probably is still a year away. Becky had a The Man elite shown at SDCC and a WM35 UE teased.

Most of which are going to be exclusives (aka hard to find or really expensive on ebay) or build-a-figure. But that's not what I was saying, I was talking about Flashback lines.
