Dont know If this happens to a lot of you but any one ever get so excited for a figure that was revealed or announced and by the time you have it in hand, it's not as exciting anymore?
Happens a lot to me but the most recent instance is the Bludgeon Brothers. Looked great, packed to the gills with accessories but then they came out and I just couldnt pull the trigger.

That Basic Ruby Riott figure. I love her NXT Elite but I kind of wanted an updated headscan. Unfortunately, the headscan is horrifying.

Yeah, the Virgil figure that was supposed to be a NYCC 2017 exclusive. I thought it was cool I could buy it at the Toys R Us booth when I was there, but for some reason, they never got the figure. When I saw it rotting on the shelf in stores a couple months later, I wasnt interested.

I was excited about the Jinder Elite until I found out I had to pay $90+ for it AND a Smackdown ring.

The Goldberg EG figure. It's a figure that I've wanted since 1998. Even with Goldberg under a deal and appearing on tv we waited and waited. And when I finally saw it I couldn't have been more underwhelmed.
It looked like a mediocre custom. Talk about a letdown.

Rhyno is the obvious one for me. Though I bought it.
Aby non essential chase/store exclusive figure is now not being added to my list as the costs are stupid on secondary market too.

HOC Hitman vs HBK. I was very excited for this set until I purchased it and saw how tiny the Bret was compared to his Elites.
Same with the Starrcade ‘90 Sting one I saw how tiny it was compared to his Elites.

Elite chase Shelton - I was so excited when i saw they were doing a Gold Standard Shelton, but when i finally got it, i just didn't really care about it, it was cool to have but i it just didn't do it for me.
Both AJ Styles elites i've bought - Both the Elite 56 & TT 2018 were must haves for me, but in person, they're just meh. Plus BOTH of their left arms broke and became helicopter arms.

Definitely recommend those Bludgeons. They may be outdated now, but they're both solid (figuratively and literally) figures, they're heavy, cool accessories and look great in person.

theres quite a bit .. its one reason I hate renders.. some protos change also... like the Razor DM I remember they gave him the long knee pads and a purple attire and then upon release he had short knee pads and a pinkish color. even though it looked purpleish...lol. that was funny.

RSC Wolfpac Sting. Skinny torso, painted skin on the torso, shorter than all other Sting figures, no coat, and inaccurate designs. Head sculpt is good though.

Agreed on DM Razor. He's one of my all-time favorites and his only Elite style ring gear figure came out 'meh'. C'mon Mattel!! Give us more Elite ring gear Razors!!

What knee pads were on the proto? The DM Razor is the only Hall figure we’ve gotten that uses even remotely accurate knee pads. The rest use those sh*tty leg sleeves that are totally off. The color is way off on it, though. Like damn near everything Mattel does that has the color purple.

My biggest complaint with the Bludgeon Brothers is that they broke up around the time their figures came out. I really liked the figures.
