This is the best news for everyone, How long we've all asked for the Hammer and he's not a collector's edition. What are collector's edition figs? Store exclusives? If so, does this mean Valentine will be in a regular elite line and readily available? Most likely a survivor series elite set[/quote] Not Survivor Series. He should be out before a potential Survivor Series follow up wave.

The mystery deepens.. A new flashback line at Wal-Mart? That's what I'm hoping for. I just remembered that DDP that was hinted at as well.🤔

Why can't Mattel sign them to a deal?! There are some legends like Dynamite Kid & Scott Steiner who will not sign a deal with WWE- would Mattel consider signing deals with legends like this?! Also, will Greg Valentine be available to all collectors or only scalpers?!
We are currently unable to sign deals directly with talent. WWE now handles their own Legends program. It’s evolved a lot since the Classic Superstar days and even the old Legends line. At the end of the day, WWE is the IP owner and we abide by their wishes. Valentine is not currently slotted as a Collector’s Edition fig...I can say that much. I just wanted to chime in here and thank you for the clarification on signing deals directly with talent not under a Legends deal. That is a question I've seen asked quite a bit but never answered (to my knowledge anyway). And that's great to hear that Valentine will not be a "Collector's Edition" figure. I'm really hoping that going forward there will be more First Time in the Line Flashbacks released that aren't relegated to one per case store exclusives.

I wonder if the next Aleister Black will have an updated torso. I feel like the thicker torso found on the Usos would work much better for him.

Hopefully this Goldberg looks good. Still not a high demand kid figure, more of a collector's figure. Guess that's why we're getting 2X Balors and 2x AJs ?

According to the place that gave up the Slim Jim Randy Savage - WWE Elite Collection Series 73 1x Alester Black 1x Kairi Sane 2x Triple H 2x Daniel Bryan 1x Gran Metalik 1x Elias WWE Elite Collection Series 74 2x Finn Balor 2x AJ Styles 1x Andrade 1x Goldberg 1x Natalya 1x Lince Dorado Mmm yes why have 2 Goldberg’s when we can put out even more Styles? not to mention him and Balor are already in the top picks waves.

What do you mean by 'tool' and why does it take so long to make a tiny piece of plastic?! Also, when you say later, does that mean it will be included in some random figure that we will have to buy just to get the damn headset?!
A steel tool is what the figure parts are molded in. Creation of the tool takes time. Gorilla was existing tooling (mold) from the Survivor Series 2-Pack so we were able to easily move him forward into Blassie’s spot since he needed a little extra time. We’re talking about factories here that have tons of items in the pipeline and have to schedule things precisely. They’re not just waiting around for whatever we throw at them last minute. Make sense? And by later, yes of course the headset will be included with a different figure. Hopefully you’re interested in whoever that winds up being.
Thanks for taking these questions in stride and not taking them personally. We're lucky to have people who care enough visit this board when you very easily could not.

I really hope Lince is the chase in E74
The first top picks AJ is still rotting shelves all over my area. I think it’s safe to say we’re good on AJ Elites for the time being

It sucks that you are unable to sign deals directly with talent but based on your comments I understand why Mattel is not willing to do so. It looks like WWE runs a tight ship and even if Mattel were willing to sign deals with talent, WWE would have to give their approval so Mattel would not be able to go out and sign whomever they want and make a figure of them. I hope WWE has changed their stance regarding which legends they are interested in offering legends deals to, otherwise I think there are going to be some popular legends that we will never see Mattel figures of.
Bill had mentioned in the past that MDT submits a list periodically of legends that he would like WWE to sign- does this still happen? If so, are King Kong Bundy & Rick Martel on those lists as those are two legends I (and many others) would like to see Mattel release another figure of.

Great news about Greg Valentine, it would be great if he was inserted into the main line but I doubt WWE would allow that to happen as it seems they want the main line to focus on the current superstars. Based on your comment, it looks like this figure is slated to be released some time next summer- is that correct?! As long as its more widely available then these store exclusives and all of us regular collectors have an opportunity to buy one then I am happy.

Collector's edition are these new store exclusive figures or store exclusive chase as some refer to them due to how hard they are to find. Take a look at my post earlier in this thread where I posted a pic of the Gorilla Monsoon box- in the top left hand corner it says 'Collector's Edition'.

Since you mentioned the Legends program, a couple weeks after Topps SLAM released their first Chyna card, we got the announcement of her first Mattel figure. Today, Topps SLAM released their first Hulk Hogan card. Does this mean he is now available to Mattel as well?
Hey Action Figure Attack, I was going to ask about the connection between Topps trading cards and legends signed to merchandise deals as well. In 2017 & 2018 they released an all-legends set, both sets featured a card of Haku- does this mean he is signed to a WWE legends deal or is that some other side deal with Topps?!

No access to Haku for us at the moment. One piece of merch does not mean it’s an all encompassing deal which includes figures.

Yes, we communicate with WWE constantly and submit regular Legends requests. Can’t say who is or isn’t on those request lists but it’s of course the Legends we’d all want to see included in the line.

Do you know when we could expect to start seeing Ohno in stores? I seen someone with him and heard he’s expected to start popping up later this month. Can you possibly comment on this please?
