I was pleasantly surprised how well the Storm Hogans scale. A tad big for the Hollywood era, but definitely better than nothing. My only real issue is I hate the look of the exposed joint on the inner forearm and the staining on the NWO Hogans was a major issue.

For those worried about scaling issues...here he is with some Mattel's. He fits in great.

Is that a Mattel on the right hand side in the pics with the white trunks on? If so, what figure is it? Thanks.

I don't know why Storm designers decided to do every single headsculpt with the headband on. That is a huge let down.

Given the two unique headsculpts most likely wasn’t a budget issue, which is actually reassuring to some extent. I say this based on the subtle tweaks on these Hogan’s from the Hollywood releases, such as the floating crotch adjustments, and the stitched shirts to prevent roll up. Always a chance the design team takes note/hears collectors and gets some other sculpts if there are future figures.

The next Hogan I would want if these continued would be a 91-92. I'm sure most you still want the Python Power more.

A great idea, but Im afraid it will look to similar to the yellow/red HULK RULES Hogan. Id like to see them do a New Japan Hulk Hogan in black trunks or maybe a Mr America if possible.

I think it would look different enough to be worthwhile. The ring gear is the same, but his face/hair was pretty different from the 80's look, and there are plenty of new shirts to pick from (though some are probably WWE trademarks). It's the only major look that hasn't been covered by Mattel or Storm thus far.

I want WCW Hulkster. Gimme ring attire and BATB. After seeing their work on Muhammad Ali, I think that's totally doable for them.

Did you buy the bandana or make it? It came with one of the Hogan figures. I cant remember which one, maybe Hulk Rules.

I never liked Mattel's attempts at Hogan. I get that the bodies are mass produced and have to be used elsewhere, but the heads never looked like Hogan. The only one that came close was E34/Wrestlemania Basic, the current one. The DM looks terrible, and the American Made isn't much better. Mattel seems to have the same problem capturing Hogan's likeness as they do Randy Savage and Shawn Michaels, one decent head among a bunch of bad ones
I'd say the Storm Hulk Rules version is the definitive Hogan at this scale, specifically the closed mouth head. It looks great and has the size and skin tone right. I hate the bandana though. Storm did a pretty lousy job on them with the placement of the Hulkamania. It should be right at the edge.
I still hope Mattel does a Hulk Still Rules version though, because I thought the Storm versions of that look were awful. I'd take a Hollywood too just because the head and face on the boots of the Storm version don't really do it for me. I'd like to see what they can do with it and decide from there. But as for golden era, yellow and red Storm obliterates Mattel's lousy attempts.
