I hope he does something new as the Exalted One and doesn't just turn the Dark Order into a Broken Universe thing. I loved the Broken Universe in TNA but it's behind him now and the Broken thing wouldn't fit with Dark Order.

Shouldnt Jeff's contract be expired as well since they signed at the same time? Or did they tack on extra months because of his injuries and arrests? They did that bulls**t thing where they added time to his contract. Seems like it should be illegal to do to an independent contractor, but I don't know the language of the contract. It's not really "bulls**t". When they sign these contracts, they agree to perform/remain active for the duration of the contract. If an injury or other factor halts that performing status, resulting in them NOT being able to honour that agreement, WWE has every right to add that missing time onto the end of the contract, so they can honour that agreement. Obviously you can't predict injuries but that's just the nature of wrestling. |

If an injury or other factor halts that performing status, resulting in them NOT being able to honour that agreement, WWE has every right to add that missing time onto the end of the contract, so they can honour that agreement. Obviously you can't predict injuries but that's just the nature of wrestling. Yup. Not to mention you’re still getting paid downside money while you’re out injured. |

If they give you 5 million for 3 years, and you're only healthy for a year and a half, why shouldn't talent be legally obligated to fulfill their part of the agreement? It's either WWE adds on time on or the talent is forced to pay them back. And I'm pretty sure none of them would want to do that. |

It's either WWE adds on time on or the talent is forced to pay them back. And I'm pretty sure none of them would want to do that. I totally get that, that's why I said I'm not quite sure what the language of the contract is. Most of the time WWE adds that time on out of spite when there's word that talent wants out and they have no plans on using them. That's what I think is bs. |

Ok so it looks like Matt Hardy is going to be at the Big Event so it means he has NOT signed with AEW (which their stars aren't supposed to be there). My guess is he is looking for a better deal with WWE, which is why he released the video with the Bucks who are Young....

Then, out of the blue, posts his desire to leave on social media without actually getting a response from HR or whomever? Manage people for a company and be responsible for their wellbeing as well as making sure your company makes money so it doesn’t go out of business, and suddenly things aren’t as black and white as Vince sitting in his ivory tower pondering which wrestler’s life to screw with. |

I get where you're coming from, and ultimately it comes down to the contract that they agree to. I don't think it's ok to tac on time like they do, but if that language is in their contract then so be it. Adding time to someone's contract and then never using them to play keep away is spiteful. They don't have to do it. |

Especially with the Bucks showing up on his YouTube show, I can't imagine he's the Exalted One. I feel like they would have saved that. I still think the Exalted One is Brodie Lee/Luke Harper. |

If Matt Hardy isn't the faction leader, I don't know what his place is on that roster. He's creative enough to come up with something, but if he's not part of a faction I think he'd stick out like a sore thumb.

I'm not sure he is a good fit with AEW and what they are doing at the monent, this isnt a slight at Matt but AEW need to avoid doing the whole TNA WWE cast offs/over the hill signings and need to establish their own stars. Matt still has something to give but I feel Impact or ROH would benefit ALOT more as would Matt being more creative and a big fish in a little pond. Would AEW put Matt at the top of the card? I dont think so and I'm not sure Matt would want to be stuck in the lower mid card again until he hangs the boots up. My money is on a return to Impact for some reason. I 100% agree with you, I completely think that AEW (although he may sign there) would be better booking their younger talent to the the main event rather than using older cast offs. |

They added time onto his contract due to his wrist injury. Them making the choice to sit him at home is different. He's available, ready to go, and not refusing to work... so they can't add anymore time for that, because he's not breaching his agreement. His contract was supposed to expire this March, yet they still released him early, with the mindset that they had no intention to use him in the remaining 5 or so months. |
