God Smarks are fun to laugh at when it comes to hyperbolic whining over a show based on fake fighting

For the sake of argument, I'd say that a company's top championship should be some indicator of relevance. But we're talking about WWE, so belts titles are just props. They've always been props, in every pro wrestling company. Just like the belt in Rocky is a prop, the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers is a prop, so is Thor's hammer. A prop refers to any object used by performers on stage or screen. The term "prop" does not refer to the object's value in the story in any way, shape or form. It covers things that play a huge part and things that are just incidental items. propstore.com/category/movie-props/Thanks? I'll look forward to your TED Talk on mise en scene.

Why not buy the figure to remember all the joy the Fiend has brought you since August 2019.

YEAH AND THEY COMPLETELY RUINED ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERS IN YEARS BY LETTING A 54 YEAR OLD BEAT HIM FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP... I MIGHT NOT EVEN BUY HIS FIGURE Hey were you spying on my date last night?

What does 4/10 mean? Is that the date elite 77 and the fiend will be up for pre order?

I didn’t buy Lashley. I haven’t bought any more Elias. I don't understand this complaint. You only buy figures of top stars? If you've been watching for 30 years you should be well used to this by now. WWE has a formula and has used it for years. Everyone debuts with more fan fare than they can maintain. Elias being a perfect example. Was clearly never meant to be a headliner. He was hot for what? A full year? Do you think they can sustain Elias coming out weekly with the same shtick over and over? It had to be drawn back eventually. It reminds me of Zack Ryder. Gets a half-push with Cena and Kane, WWE throws him through the ringer. Do the fans stick with him like they did Daniel Bryan? No, they mostly abandoned him. So booking and placement on the card is what dictates what you're a fan of? They aren't intentionally burying Wyatt here. It's WrestleMania. They probably put the belt on Goldberg to appeal to the casual fans who tune in once a year. It's nothing new. Does this mean you'll be rushing out to buy a Goldberg figure? Your money, do what you want. But to come on here and grandstand about not spending money on things you don't like, like you're some victim is a bit much. Why don’t they push what’s over? They never pushed Elias. They buried demon Balor. They were over. Why ? Would it have killed them to let Elias win the IC belt? Guy isn’t even ON PPV CARDS. Every time there is a reason to watch again... the gimmick changes, the storyline swerves prematurely and the merchandise dies and is obsolete by the time its out or worth buying. I’m no victim. But they’re killing them selves. And for what? A bunch of part timers and tired ass Roman reigns? Cmon. I’m gonna go to AEW. They get it. Oh and in the 90s.... WWF got it

I follow WWE on most of their social media platforms. Since Friday, they've shared the confrontation between Cena and Wyatt over and over and over and over again. I had to actively go and look for a clip of Wyatt "GeTtInG bUrIeD" by Goldberg. Lengths of color tinted leather, gilded plates, and velcro are not a measure of one's "relevance". If they are, and that's what drives your spending habits, that onus is on you, not Mattel/WWE. Wyatt is gonna be fine, and you're gonna buy the hell out of that figure. Nuh uh. His name is walkwithelias and he even stopped buying Elias figures after his "burial". A true fan. What is this guy even a fan of??? This is a guy who made a thread and several posts about being annoyed at having to wait so long for the E69 Lashley preorder and still didn't buy the Lashley figure for...I don't know what reason. In other threads he's called it just about a perfect figure. Not to mention he made many posts bragging about how E67 Velveteen Dream will be the last figure he buys. He's been hate-watching WWE and hate-buying Mattel products for at least a year. Nothing but complaining. They have booked Velveteen terribly. That was the last figure I bought. Tell me... what have they done right with Velveteen? What are they even doing with him? Like Meltzer says they can’t even afford to build another star now. Might take the attention off Reigns, Lesnar, Cena and all the other part timers who show up for wrestle mania!

Ok, forget everything else in this thread. How in the bluest of blue hells is this in any way a fail by Mattel? Or is this just a good opportunity to put a bash in on them for no sapient reason? If you've been watching WWE for 30 years, then that leads me to believe you're at least 30. Do you, being at least 30 understand that they can't just wish a new figure into existence? The fact that it's coming out as soon as it is is a very good turn around and shows that they're on the ball. I’m sorry but it’s 2020. And how is a year after a guy debuts for it to be in hand (or 16 months) fast?

Surprised this isn’t moved since it technically takes about storylines instead of figures

Why not buy the figure to remember all the joy the Fiend has brought you since August 2019. Because it was cut at least about a year short of what it should have been- I mean how many tired years of Brock or Reigns are we on? And again sidebar it is about to be obsolete like many here said it would be by the time it came out. Yes this is more an indictment on the terribke WWE booking and products then Mattel but they’re probably in cohorts (hey, figure is out. Time to change the gimmick). Seen it too many times

I'm really sorry here, but I'm getting a kick out of this thread. It's breaking my brain. I've noted walkwithelias has posted many times about E69 Lashley. Desperately wanted it. Noted that he's probably off TV but still wants the figure. In this thread he reveals he didn't buy it after all because I guess he feels Lashley actually sucks and isn't a star anymore due to burial by WWE. This opens so many questions to me. - why does that matter? Are you just a fan of Lashley's booking? - had you bought it, would you have eventually sold it after the supposed burial? - I ask again, does this mean Goldberg is now your top want? - what do you think being buried means? Losing a match? Hey, when a player gets traded from his current team to a new team.... do you know why it’s marked down to 60% off? I’ll hang up and wait to see if you connect the dots. As for Mattel they couldn’t even get the DM Macho Man right. It’s based on the steamboat savage match and they put him in WM4 trunks and never fix it. But heck, make Roman reigns version 33 every time he adds a new Velcro to the vest.

Fiend should have maintained momentum (merch sales and the fact other people my age who watched from WM1 actually cared again and said ‘this is really good stuff’ with him is the evidence) but they improperly kill off the momentum of a guy. You all say he goes over Cena, but I think they follow the pattern of he gets beat by Cena with little rhyme or reason and well; slowly fades into obscurity like every other decent little thing they have murdered over the last decade +.
They are such idiots.
And again. The figure by the time it’s out will barely be more then a memory of something that could have been one of the best characters in wrestling in decades. Instead, it will be what could have been and obsolete by the time it’s out. Bray will be playing an alligator hunter by then anyways

But heck, make Roman reigns version 33 every time he adds a new Velcro to the vest. Wrestling isn't real. It's not a sport. Someone's spot on the card or the storyline they're in is not necessarily at all indicative of how good or bad they are. Are you saying the figure is worth less because the person is on TV less, and thus you shouldn't be expected to buy it at full price? Again, I can't see what your point is. It seems like a lot of reaching to complain. This reeks of trying to show off how much you hate WWE. Lashley, Fiend and others haven't been traded or released. They're still there and they're still the same people you liked. I'm no fan of current WWE either and I do agree that they got it right in the 90s. They have rarely gotten it right since 2008 or so, and it's been inconsistent before then. I still don't get it though. So you're a fan of Elias, but you are so upset that he hasn't been booked to your liking, that you won't buy any more of his merch? I think the fastest turnaround Mattel has had was around 9 months for E47A AJ Styles. Roughly the amount of time it once took to make a full Simpsons episode. Things take time. Making threads complaining about how long things take helps nobody and nothing. We get it. You wish Mattel was fast enough to keep up with your interest in the product, but they don't just cater to single fans.

WWE doesn't push what's over because they push the brand over individuals now. It's been their whole strategy since the Network launch. They turned WrestleMania into mostly a sales pitch and showcase for the casual fanbase. This isn't new.
I don't see why this has to carry over to the figures. Like what you like. It's your money though. I do feel that you're creating a no win scenario for yourself, however.

The Fiend sucks 💯 Mick Foley did it better in 1996 What? They're not even similar characters, the only thing they have in common is a mask, and the mandible claw.
