I have been purchasing figures from Ringside Collectables for years, and notice that pricing (shipping wise) is higher than ever. For the average figure, it costs me nearly $100 altogether, and we never receive the "freeship" option. Does anyone think it costs way too much for figures on Ringside if you're in Canada? I don't mind paying $40-$50 altogether for the average figure, but the average person can't afford nearly $100 each time. This is not a knock to Ringside, because I'm satisfied with every figure I've had from them, but now it's hard to keep up with the prices as a Canadian. I hope one day that Ringside could make pricing more accomodating to Canadians

$100 for one figure? When I order from ringside its maybe 60 bucks tops for a newer elite shipped. Though I've only used ringside a handful of times.

That’s why I only buy in bulk from Ringside, minimum 5 figures. Shipping costs me around 40$ but no customs. It’s super expensive still but ah that’s life

I'm in Canada and Ultimate Edition Shawn Michaels from RSC just cost me $62CAD/$41USD (using WFIGS for 10% off) late last week. Maybe because I use the standard shipping option? I end up waiting around a month or more for my order but I'd rather that than pay large shipping fees.
I generally order single figures from RSC, ones I don't expect to find at retail or don't want to leave to chance. Usually runs me around $55-$60 per figure, so it's a last resort.
Back in 2012-2014ish it was more like you described for me. Around $75 per figure. eBay, unless it's a Canadian seller, after shipping and import fees it works out to be nearly $40CAD on top of the cost of the figure.
The strength of the Canadian dollar these days also isn't great.

I just tested a single John Cena Elite 76 figure to Canada and the shipping was $11.06.

Honestly, when it comes to Ringside the real key to being a Canadian Collector is patience. That’s not a knock on them, it’s just that our dollar is worth half compared to the USD. So, patience comes into play to try and balance that out. Usually the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales are good ones for us Canucks to hit...if you can wait that long. That’s usually my lone yearly RSC purchase.

Problem with FedEx is that we are 100% gauranteed to pay duties that are sometimes equivalent to or more than the value of the figure, it’s ridiculous. I now always use international shipping but again the price has sky rocketed! I’m waiting for AEW wave 2 preorder and that’s probably going to cost me $180 when all said and done

I've never had customs or a FedEx bill from ordering from RSC.
I've only ever gotten duties randomly on items I traded for. Though I think it's because the one time I did get hit with duties, it was a big box with 7 figures.
I've never had to pay an additional cost on single or two figures.

When you order from Ringside as a Canadian you are buying: The privilege of getting the figure long before it hits stores IF it ever even does (THAT costs $$$) Paying American money (THAT costs $$$) Paying duty fees because you won’t wait to buy it in Canada (THAT costs $$$) Paying shipping (THAT costs $$$) I live in Toronto and I am in the same boat. No one is forcing us to buy these figures and certainly not months before they hit stores. Suck it up, buttercup 😉👍

The problem is that we in Canada don't get every figure or every line, so there are times where we do have to order off RS.
So choke on that, slap nuts!

For a long time now, I've made 1 big order from Ringside per year, simply because with the custom fees it's far too expensive.
But recently I've realized that if I just order 1 or 2 figures at a time, it will end up costing far less, because the shipping is not terrible and there will be no fees.

Two figures with the saver option is the way to go, but I've never understood why their usps costs are so high. I've shipped plenty through Canada Post at similar size and more weight for much cheaper without a business account. No bullcrap broker fees which are what we really get nailed on with Fed ex. It's not duties, duty tax is non existent for many orders FedEx has asked for fees on. Tldr fed ex is a scam. Shipped same value of goods through USPS or much higher with no duties, and no the customs forms were not fudged accurate valuations.

Last time I ordered a $200 (including shipping) order from Ringside through FedEx I got a nice $70 invoice in the mail a few weeks later from FedEx. So now ringside doesn't get my business anymore.
