Go learn what a millennial is, hint they’re almost 40. My apologies, most members of these boards are from that generation- I have amended my statement to remove the offending word.
You seem to love to make assumptions- I never said that Heenan is not popular, my comment had to do with the specific attire they chose for this figure which is from a one-off gimmick match that most casual fans could care less about. Most casual fans (of which I am one) know and remember Bobby Heenan as a manager (arguably the best manager from the Golden era) NOT a wrestler so I doubt very many would be interested in this niche attire figure. This figure should have been a 2 in 1 IMO (Bill loves 2 in 1's so I am surprised he didn't go that route?), molded suit manager attire with cloth weasel suit as the accessory.
Oh and for the record, most of the legends figures Mattel has released to date have sold well, even niche stuff like Tugboat, Magnum TA, Berzerker and Warlord (all of which were main line releases). If you think Greg Valentine will not sell well and that only the 'vocal minority' on these boards want his figure then your are sorely mistaken.
Have a nice day.

I disagree with you. While Heenan had a short run doing that weasel suit match with the Ultimate Warrior, it’s still a deserving attire choice and far from niche. Heenan wrestled many times during his WWF run (including two straight WrestleMania’s). I’m personally happy they made it!

To this day I can go to an Ollie’s and buy 20 Magnum TA figures. Amazon couldn’t give Tugboat away for years

We had a fan vote. Weasel suit was least wanted so they made the other two first but apparently MDT is gonna make what they want anyways

Millenials were born ~ 81-96. So a few are approaching age 40. Some are only 24. I can only speak for myself but as an older gen xer there are a lot of great memories and battles valentine had even before his time in wwf. NWA Tag team champ with flair, NWA us hw champ, etc etc The weasel suit gimmick is in my opinion kind of lame and I loved Heenan.

What an interesting turn this thread took lol. I couldn't get weasel suit (Canada) but I kinda want to try to track one downseeing how funny he looks underneath. I wouldn't take the suit off anyways so it'd be my own little running joke. (I make customs so I could easily just fix it but it's funny so whatever 😂)
As a kid I definitely was not a Valentine fan, I found him very blah. After I learned how much of a misogynist he is, I don't feel all that guilty about it lol. I freaking loved Heenan though. Heenan and Ventura were amazing, I was always glad when they were right and got to put that hypocrite monsoon in his place. #teamheel. #kayfabe4life . I'm in the middle of that millennial category so I figured the hashtags would follow the trend of this thread lol.

Just throwing my two cents into here...
Umm... most millennials aren't *quite* pushing 40. You're thinking of Xennials. Millennials really didn't happen until the mid to late 80s. Most millennials are in their late 20s or early to mid 30s. It's those Xennials, aka the Oregon Trail Generation (which is a cusp generation between Gen X and Millennials) who are pushing 40. And anything older than 40 is Gen X. So with that said, no, the average Millennial, unless they started watching young, probably wouldn't be too familiar with Greg Valentine (unless you're talking his later stuff like R&B).
Heenan, however? I didn't even watch back then and I adore Bobby Heenan. What a great heel. I haven't had the opportunity to fully appreciate his work, but I love what I've seen. Great stuff. I do have the White Tux Heenan in my collection, but I traded the Gorilla I found. IMHO? Heenan is better than Valentine... but then that is MY opinion and everyone is entitled to one. Just remember. Opinions are like A-Holes. Everyone's got one and most of them stink.
EDIT: OH! And my comment on the initial point of this thread?
Unfortunate. How very very unfortunate. But then, you know... what's that "S" word... Sprucesprouts? Shoddsheiks? Shedsh*ts? It's something like that...

My Heenan is set to come in today from Target, and I’m thinking of doing a leg swap. Can anyone recommend which legs to use and is it easy to do? I’ve never done it. Thanks!

I threw some knee pads and elbow pads on mine doesn’t look so bad after that mod. I will be using this figure a lot for awhile, as I reset my fig fed and started over so This version will be a wrestler for awhile, until I get to a point where I want to make the character a manager.
