Why did we need another Tatanka? Mattel went through the spreadsheets and said "yeah tatanka is sort of a legend (not really) but we already have the molds/parts for him." Why make something new when you can just recycle something old, slap a new coat of paint on it and put it in new packaging.

I want the new tatanka. It’s a vastly different look, so why not?

Might picked up Undertaker but I was hoping for his face to be covered with hair. Anyways Legends 9 Undertakers coat material is right but its short and the tie is too long. Also according to the moment on his bio this figure is supposed to be from Summerslam 1994 right? If so the coat is wrong since it had purple pockets, Taker didn't have all his tattoo's then, Sleeves aren't ripped and he also didn't wear that mask in 1994.

Sure. Why wouldn't you? If you think a rerelease will sell enough units, why wouldn't you cut out the extra design/tooling costs for a figure to fill out a line? That's just basic business. It's been long enough since the last Tatanka that I'm cool with this. He definitely isn't an important name who should get a third though. Not unless they wait 5 years.

Does the e80 Bayley actually have basic ankles like the pics show? A lot of the newer women’s figure with the double jointed knee articulation still has the same basic ankle articulation. Only one’s that don’t are Chyna, Ronda, Lacey, and Io.

I love all the Tatanka haters in here that are like “no one is gonna but Tatanka! No one cares!” While completely ignoring all the people going like “I’m gonna get that Tatanka! Tatanka looks great! Another mania attire! Yes!”

I love all the Tatanka haters in here that are like “no one is gonna but Tatanka! No one cares!” While completely ignoring all the people going like “I’m gonna get that Tatanka! Tatanka looks great! Another mania attire! Yes!” Agreed. He has literally only had ONE other Mattel figure and that came out over four years ago so I'm sure not everybody was able to get that release. Also, this is the first time that his debut attire is getting the figure treatment which is really awesome. This line is going to primarily be repaints so I see nothing wrong including someone who has not been made a million times already getting redone with a more rare look. I do agree that a headdresses and face paint would have been ideal, but it is still a worthy addition to the lineup. The bigger gripe for me is that Undertaker. It is nearly identical to his earlier Elite figure wearing the purple attire. The updated scan and cloth trenchcoat are solid additions although there are some obvious drawbacks as well. Not feeling the tan skin tone at all and that hair is pretty questionable as well. Also, even though the rubber coats are incredibly restrictive, this new cloth one is obviously missing some details and just looks kind of cheap in a sense. It is not the definitive 1994-1995 Undertaker it should be as some of the new features blow the earlier release away while others seem like a step backwards. Not sure if it warrants an upgrade purchase.

I don't think the Legends line needs to be all HOF'ers, and Tatanka is a legend of some sort anyway. Plus this is one of the nicer-looking Legends figures we've seen since the line came back.
Bobby Heenan is much more of a legend, but does anyone think his recent figure looked better or was more necessary than this Tatanka? (Heenan in a suit or jacket would be a different story obviously) There's room for all, as long as Mattel or Target don't screw up and cause an early end to the line.
This is the best new Legends wave yet, top to bottom. Really solid.

New Tatanka looks awesome and is a good choice. I say this based on the 97 weasel Bobby heenans I see in every target

I really like that we got this version of Tatanka, but I wish they wouldn’t use that torso. Looks ridiculous.
