I know some are sticklers for accuracy, but I really don't think the height is that bad.

Depends on where on the leg you want to do the swap, but it’s not too hard as long as you’re not dealing with socket style hips Has anyone figured out a solution to the orndorff height? I want to display him next to piper and the height difference is crazy. It seems the easiest fix is sacrificing a series 4 Orndorff to fix series 8 lol. Either that or accepting slightly different skintones from a Von Erich or Warrior

Does anyone also have basic white tights orndorff? I wonder if he is the same height as legends 4. Could I use him? I know he would be cheaper to buy.

basics also have been notoriously out-of-scale in recent years too. I can't verify white trunks basic Orndorff's height, but you still can't get past the incompatibility of switching legs between elite/basic.
It's a pity it seems they've lost or retired Ordorff's calf mold because I do think it's a unique pair of calves, just short enough but tapered at the bottom to fit flush with the top of the boots. I haven't been able to find the exact same pair of calves on any other figure. Angle calves come close but it's not the same sculpt. I was hoping L8 Orndorff would use the L4 mold so we can get those calves back into circulation

I have done two fixups now with one using the L4 lower leg and the other using one of the Von Erich’s and they both scale fairly well with the L4. If the L8 had the smaller thighs they’d be perfect height. But because L8 uses Triple H’s body both the calves and thighs are longer than L4. My two fixups, custom white attire and L4. This is close enough for me to live with.

I just swapped the lower leg piece. Heat the part with a hairdryer for two or three minutes so it’s soft. Then with your fingers or a flat head screwdriver pop the lower leg off of one side of the knee pin and remove the lower leg and pull out the pin and pull off the boots. Do the same for the rest of the legs you are swapping.
Then reheat the part of the lower leg that’s going to attach to the knee put the pin back into one side and align the holes with the knee hole. Then take a pair of needle nose pliers and put the head of one side on the pin and the other side just above the hole and squeeze until the pin goes through the other side. Then reheat the boots for a minute or two and pop it back onto the lower leg.

I still think Orndorff L4 calves are a very unique sculpt/mold. Warrior has a wider surface area where the calf meets the boot top if you notice. L4 Orndorff has tapered calves to fit flush with regular med-size boots. The difference is quite subtle to be honest, but it's just the right amount of height to fix guys that hover around that 6' mark. I honestly haven't see that calf mold used on anyone else.

Does Lex’s two FB figures have tall boots or mid high? If they are mid high they are Triple H’s if they are tall then the lower leg piece might be too small for Orndorff. He has tall boots but they are thin like the mid high are so the calves would match up. I have a broken Lex here somewhere so I'll test it when my Orndorff arrives here.

If I have an extra legends 4 orndorff is there any way to get his entire leg off and onto the legends 8? The l4 uses a ratchet hip and l8 a ball joint. I’m not sure of any way to safely remove a ratchet hip leg.

There may be an overhang.

The only way i know to get a ratchet leg off is to cut the top part away
