RIP. He starred in a movie that was filmed in my area back in 1969.

Can’t really beat 90 years and a run like that. The Rock is an all timer.

An actor that truly earned the title of icon. I always joked, you knew how big he was, when he could play a Russian, a Spaniard, and Irishman, all while never changing his Scottish accent to do it, and everyone was fine about it. For me on a personal note, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was always my favorite of that series, and a big part of that, was his casting as Indiana's father. He just worked so well with Harrison Ford in that role. While it's sad to see him go, it also nice, that he lived a long and very full life. He's in that rare company, that everyone knew who Sean Connery was. You could have never seen a single movie of his, and you knew who he was. And he was the inspiration for, in my opinion, one of the funniest SNL parodies by Darrell Hammond on celebrity Jeopardy. Plus he got to spend the last 13 years of his life in happy retirement.

I always thought Brosnan was the best Bond. But Connery was definitely my 2nd favorite. Thunderball is one of my absolute favorites. RIP.

I always thought Brosnan was the best Bond. But Connery was definitely my 2nd favorite. Thunderball is one of my absolute favorites. RIP. Brosnan definitely had it in him to be the best Bond, but the overall quality of his movies outside of Goldeneye is quite poor (though TWINE is underrated). He was playing baby the suavest Bond. Connery I always found had that perfect mix of suave and mean. I love the way he delivers his one liners. You don't want to mess with him but you sure want to have a beer with him.

I think I just prefer Brosnan because he was Bond when I grew up. Goldeneye was the first game I ever played (and still do, by the way. Almost daily) and his era of Bond was when I became a Bond fan. It's abit like 'what wrestling era do you prefer?' 9/10 times, it's the era you grew up in.* Connery just lacked abit of action imo.
