What if there was no Ultimate Challenge at Wrestlemania VI

I liked Warrior as a kid, but had I been an adult back then I probably wouldn't be a fan and would have not been happy with the WM 6 main event. Being that Warrior wasn't drawing as champion he should have lost the title to Rude at Summerslam and they could have built to Rude vs Hogan at WM 7. Wouldn't that be better than Hogan vs Slaugter(and I like Sarge).
