That was a pretty good episode of Smackdown. Predictable in some areas but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Never thought id be saying this a year ago but everything Roman touches is gold. He's somehow made feuds with Jey Uso and Adam Pearce as well as bringing KO back to the main event scene the most important aspects of Smackdown... and its good s#It.

Never thought id be saying this a year ago but everything Roman touches is gold. I get it, but this really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone at all. Listen to any of the wrestlers backstage for the entirety of Roman's face run that "everyone" hated. He was consistently put over by other wrestlers as one of the most hard-working and talented guys backstage, while also being a solid human. All he needed was the chance to really take the reigns (Ha!) and go.

I agree I never thought that Roman would be what I look forward to the most in WWE. Everything about what he's done with this run has been absolutely perfect imo. This mad man KO and arrogant Roman is a incredible pairing and I'm excited to see the match next week but I hope they move on from there. Really nice seeing Cesaro shine for a little bit,his and Nak's split should be really fun if both continues on their little pushes. The Bayley/Bianca segment was a lot better then I was expecting.

Lol this obstacle course was super funny, but I'm kinda raging that they set the mini hurdles up backwards.. Thank god they set the normal hurdles up properly. Bianca used to hurdle she would have killed them if they set those up backwards too

WWE prop comedy stuff is always hit and miss with me I always cringe when I hear something dumb like obstacle courses or arm wrestling, singing competitions etc... There are the few and far between times where it makes sense or does work, like in 2004 when they had Eugene playing musical chairs with superstars as the GM. Made sense for him because of his gimmick and guys like Flair/Jericho were able to make it entertaining. Last night was alright, Bianca came across as strong and Bayley sneaking an attack on her furthered their feud so I was alright with it.

Decent show. Reigns was brilliant, of course, and Kevin Owens stepped it up a bit here. It’s been a really good feud between them. I was hoping the twist in the main event would be less predictable, but it served its purpose. I’m looking forward to the match at the Rumble.
Obstacle course was fun. The Otis reveal and the basketball attack were the highlights for me. Bayley was on fine form throughout. It’s good seeing her and Sasha do something without the other. Sasha’s match was... different. Reggie doing his flips to avoid her was interesting at first, but man, when they actually started trying to wrestle, it was AEW-level embarrassing. Just awful cooperative gymnastics. I’m assuming he’s a fairly new trainee so it’s probably not his fault, but shame on whoever decided he was ready to have a match on TV.
I enjoyed Ziggler’s “it’s not 2014 anymore, brother” line to Bryan, like he and Cesaro hadn’t peaked in 2014 as well.
Sami Zayn’s entitled snowflake character is awesome. The protests, the documentary crew, the conspiracy, it’s perfect. He’s been great since he came back from the lockdown break, similar to Roman.
