Not all-time, but the most recent one?
For me it was Legends 8 Ultimate Warrior. It totally came out of left field, it's a necessary piece to anyone's Warrior collection and it was so well executed.

Before that probably Warlord/Berzerker, genuinely the only talent Mattel has put out that I had never heard of.

Idk bout the last but E39 Godfather was kind of a shock due to the nature of the character. I guess in that same vain I could say Shockmaster. Who would have thought we were getting a Shockmaster figure in 2016.

Seeing them make the Jeff-HHH 01 two pack actually shocked me; I thought it would take much longer or never to see a HHH with the gold design.
I guess the New Ringside Exclusive Edge; to some extent. But I was expecting a more complex attire; but no complaints.

Recently, I think it was Chyna (from the Elite 2pk)... I had NO idea they were able to make a figure of her - so when I first saw that digital render, it was "Holy ****!" 😳😃.
And from a few years ago, it was Razor and Sting... I remember seeing those reveals along with the DM Hogan - wow.

When that Ringmaster Steve Austin Network Spotlight figure randomly showed up in TRUs after not being announced/shown anywhere up to that point. Was a nice throwback to the old days of something just showing up.

It was the EdgeHead's three pack for me. We got a few Edge Elites from 2010-12 but then basically nothing until 2020.

Chyna for sure. Before that, probably Macho. It was wild to see. I'll never forget going to Kmart after school one day and getting his first Defining Moments figure and coming home and turning on the TV to see that he had literally just died. Weird day. |
