Finally completed the Original 12. 8 from my childhood and 4 from ebay. Throw in the original stand and here's the new focus of my collection.

Awesome set up! I've really taken an appreciation for the vintage Star Wars line after watching The Toys That Made Us. How revolutionary for the figure industry that was.

For my Original 12 Set: From My Childhood (All Original, NO re-issues, re-paints, or replacement capes, etc.) Jawa C3PO Ben Kenobi From ebay: Darth Vader Stormtrooper Sand People Death Squad Commander + Mail-Away Stand Chewbacca Luke R2D2 Leia Han Solo Wanted to do this for a long time. Wasn't sure how many I had from when I was a kid. 8 out of the gate was pretty good on the wallet!

The removable helmet in the boxed figure isn't the best sculpt. I would keep 40th.

Simple, 40 anniversary is clearanced everywhere. I’d choose the blue bar

I thought that I was happy with my original release version of Vader until I got to play around with the newer one that my friend had. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's just a lot better. The sculpt is just crisper, the cape is better, the helmet looks better and doesn't fall apart. Plus the plastic is a lot better, the old one has knee joints that feel like they are made of Twizzlers

Before the 40th, some people were painting the Walgreens' exlusive helmet because it was an improvement over the first Vader.

My Walmart must be getting ready for Solo merchandise because Black 6" were $5 and the 3.75" were $4 at my Walmart. Walmart's clearance prices aren't always the same at every location, so YMMV.

My store probably has older or common figures. I know Leia and Phasma were on the front of pegs. The newest figures I remember seeing were Ponda Baba and Tusken Raider a few weeks ago at an out of town Walmart.

Lando looks dope. Not sure if I'm going to collect for this movie though. I'm more interested in getting future Original Trilogy and Prequel 6 inch figures

100% the 40th is better. the original one has the novelty of the removable helmet, but the helmet itself is proportioned wrong and looks awkward, and the softgoods were terrible

Picked up the 40th Anni Darth Vader. I wanted to have both an unmasked and masked version of the figure in my collection
