Cena and Theory shaved several minutes off of their time cause Cena was winded. Was his last singles match with Roman at Summerslam?

"there will never be a more opportune moment for Cody than last night"
Yeah well there was allegedly no better moment for Sami than at EC but here we are after a bigger and better moment at WM. The show and story must go on and nobody can predict that future for certain. Sure it was a major miss for a "WrestleMania moment" but you never know what's next. Now Sami and Cody fans get to wait and pray on Romans downfall together lol.
But if you really think Cody is damaged beyond repair after a protected loss in the main event of the biggest WM ever, you're just being unrealistic. He's a made man after that performance. A future world champion without a doubt. 6 months or less I'm betting. We just have to watch the Bloodline finish crumbling first. From those ashes and from that rubble our new champion will rise.

given the usos lost their titles, Im betting Romans gonna light their asses up on smackdown and berate them and they will be obedient until they tire of his abuse and snap and turn on him, leading to Cody becoming champ, just got to let it play out

I found this pretty interesting.
Always talk about "boo boo face," when the loser of a match wears it on their face that they're losing tonight. Some said they noticed it when Cody walked out last night. I can't way I did.
But an hour before the PPV begins, Cody looks glassy eyed and Brandi still has tears in her eyes. PRE MATCH seems like an odd time to be walking around this somberly. Maybe reflecting on what it took to get here, or maybe something else. Who knows?

I mean it sucks that the only people who knew the Mania outcomes were higher ups. Itβs a good way to keep things behind closed doors and avoid spoilers BUT at the same time when youβre a part of a feud and every week itβs looking like youβre walking out as the winner, to find out the day of thatβs not gonna happen mustβve been awful

The Main Event was a pretty incredible Match, and it was all perfectly there for Cody to hit that third one in a row, and that would have had everybody saying it was one of the best Main Events in Wrestlemania history. Reminded me a lot of Garganoβs Takeoverβs. But man, what a way to blow it. If they are ever putting the Beltβs on Cody, then Sunday was the place to do it. Sure, you can muster up a story about him having a setback, taking down each Bloodline member before finally doing it, but the next time they face it will be even more obvious heβs winning, and the defining moment wonβt be anywhere near as hot as it would have been this Wrestlemania. People will cool off now.
My gut feeling is theyβre actually going to have The Rock be the one that finally beats him, which will be an absolutely awful decision. It should have been the mega match with Rock at 39, with Roman cementing his legacy and greatest run of all time, and then onto Summerslam when he loses to Cody, or whoever else. Part of me does wonder if the Endeavor deal has anything to do with it though. Iβm not sure where they go from here if this isnβt the plan. The Usoβs losing the Tag Titles and The Bloodline being exposed by Sami felt like it was all but done, and it was just a case of Roman finally toppling that was left. Itβs going to be a long, long stretch to get to Wrestlemania 40 now.
Side note, I thought Michael Cole was absolutely unbearable on Night 2. The way he was giggling throughout the Intercontinental Title Match like a schoolchild in hysterics was so distracting. It then became even more unbearable during Hell in a Cell when he switched to absolutely blowing everything a million times over the top when reality was, it was a pretty standard Street Fight and ultimately a very underwhelming Hell in a Cell Match.

Gunther/Sheamus/Drew was a banger and just might be the best IC title match in Mania history. I loved it.
That being said, outside of that and Cody/Roman, I thought this year's Mania was about as mid as it gets.
I don't think there was a single person on this planet that wanted to see Shane McMahon vs The Miz. It sucks that he got hurt, but that whole segment was about as cringe as can be.

Even with the terrible ending last night think this is safety in the top 10 Wrestlemania's of all time.If they would have trimmed the fat from the show, cut it to one night and had Cody actually win this could have been a top five or even three Wrestlemania.
Charlotte/Ripley & the IC Title matches where the best matches and probably by years end top ten match of the year or atleast in terms of WWE.

Enjoyed WM overall but there were missteps. AT vs Cena: Should have beaten Cena clean. Cena extends his hand & AT kicks him in the nuts...end felt odd. Rollins vs LP: Excellent stuff....really really enjoyed it. Marked for the table spot & timing of the finish Ripley vs Flair: outstanding. Flair is just incredible, she really is. Outstanding effort from both but CF led the dance & made it tick πππ Owens/Sami vs Usos: excellent as predicted...Great stuff from all 4 men. Rey vs Dom: feelgood moment...predictable but good. Lesnar vs Omos: pointless & a waste of Brock. Why didn't we get the Lesnar vs Lashley?? So Brock could run the ropes against a statue? Gunther vs Sheamus vs Drew: not as good as I thought it was gonna be...can't exactly say why? Edge vs Balor: a load of sh#te. The Demon being sacrificed to part timer Edge was crap...the Judgment Day also shouldn't have lost 2/3. They run Raw? No they dont π€£π€£π€£Don't get me started on the match being interrupted for the blood. Edge wants to kill Balor but he's OK with standing back to let him get seen to...π. Ultimate feud ender....one on one....cage keeps everyone out....hellacious structure blah blah blah...until your cut. Complete bull & derailed it totally. Reigns vs Rhodes: great match but the wrong result. The importance of winning the RR is neutered AGAIN. Air sucked outta Sofi stadium....they can give it to him down the road but it won't mean as much. Pity because it was a brilliant match. Also how f#ckin stupid is it Cole & Graves foaming at the mouth over Roman incredible tenure as Champ & mentioning Sammartino & Hogan when he needs help to retain all the time....they didnt what's so impressive about that? π€ Congratulations also to Graves. He managed to say more stupid sh#t than Cole tonight which is unreal to me π¬ Overall a very enjoyable show though. When Roman Reigns got the 3 count fall I said to myself "What the " and I wanted to cry. How long are we going to stomach this boring ass Roman Reigns title run? Michael Cole needs to retire because his voice annoys the out of me even back in the attitude era. What is with the ing company having a hard on for Roman Reigns in the main event and winning all the ing time? The Main Event was a pretty incredible Match, and it was all perfectly there for Cody to hit that third one in a row, and that would have had everybody saying it was one of the best Main Events in Wrestlemania history. From what I heard that the Endeavor deal had nothing to do with the finish of the main event. I hope the WWE does something big for Raw tonight. If tonight's Raw isn't good I am going to stop caring about WWE and maybe wrestling as a whole.

Does anyone else remember that interview that Nick Khan had last week saying they had "plenty of surprises" for Mania?
It was Shane McMahon and Pat McAfee.

Also, I don't really have too big of a problem with Roman winning...but that finish was utter dogs***.
Biggest Mania main event maybe of the decade going in, and we still get the faction run-in that we've seen ruin just about every Roman title match we've had in the last year. We did it to Drew to make the Mania moment bigger. We did it to Sami to make the Mania moment bigger.
We can't even get the Mania moment onscreen because we need a ref bump so the Uso's to hit some superkicks. Then, Cody has to stand there like a goodball after the last Cross Rhodes while he waits for Solo to jump on the apron and thumb him in the throat. Of course as wrestling fans we suspend disbelief and excuse some of the filler moments, but this is the finish you do on RAW. Solo already had his creative for the match. Go get heat on Roman, get ejected for a big pop, and now its an even playing field. To have him put a hood on and come back out was just piss poor creative and one of the laziest spots I could think of.
Its just so flat to see the same finish all the time. You sucked the air out of Wales. You sucked the air out of Montreal. Now you sucked it out of LA on the biggest night of the year.
Could've easily been a spear, a pin and it would've been far more of a SHOCKER moment than a groan and a silent car ride back to the hotel.

Call me old or whatever else but I think the WWE needs to retire HIAC. Iβve never been a fan of the bigger cell and it simply doesnβt work in todays WWE. Iβm all for putting a performers safety first and foremost, but itβs HIAC. Unless a performer is bleeding to death or concussed, expect to see color and roll with it if it happens. Edge/Balor was pushed as a blood feud, yet Edge had to stand there like an idiot while medical staff worked on his arch nemesis.
HIAC has been dead for about 15 years now, and WWE should stop beating that dead horse unless they intend to use it like it use to be.
