Two of the biggest stars of all time... so who guys going with?
Now this is a hard one for me but I’m going with Orton for now but I might change it to Cena later on lol.
I was always a huge fan of both guys, overall they were both talented & have had some entertaining work over the years... matches, promos, feuds, storylines, rivalries etc.

Cena was a bigger name just marginally in my eyes but I would put Orton's Legend Killer run up against anything Cena has ever done personally. Everything a heel should be, he was. I believe his early immaturity, bad attitude and natural cockiness probably contributed most to him not being pushed as a face of either brand as he had the look, the gimmick and the third-generation pedigree to be the perfect convincing heel.

Love both guys, going with Big Match John, though I think Randy has the better match catalog.

John Cena and this is not even close for me!
Randy Orton would legit not even crack my top 50 of all time! He has been boring and phoned it in for the majority of his career and 9/10 when put in the big main event match spot, it is boring and falls flat. He is one guy that people make excuse after excuse for "he is great when he is motivated" is a phrase I have heard more than a few times over the years about him. As a character, I think he is great, especially when heel, he looks incredible, he actually looks like a star! However, in the ring, if I am being brutally honest, I would say that I have maybe been entertained by like 25 percent of his matches over the years.
Cena on the other hand, I have been a fan of since day one, even when it was cool to hate the guy, I thought he always delivered. The biggest compliment I can give John Cena is that I have seen him live at house shows, probably 10 times and he always gives the same amount of effort no matter if the cameras are there or not.
I do not hate Randy Orton, but the most remarkable thing about his career for me is its longevity.

Cena always had consistency while Ortons got longevity, well both guys got that stuff as well lol. It’s really hard to pick one but both guys are legends in the biz.

Cena, by miles. To put them in an attitude era context, Cena is Rock/Austin. Orton is Triple H.

I never cared for either in the main event spot, but I slightly prefer Orton. He was usually a serious wrestler (although he overdid the facial expressions at times) and he had a more believable moveset. His promos were a slog due to the slow pacing, but unlike Cena, I never felt like I was watching a kids show when I listened to him talk.

Cena connected more with the culture, and branched out into much bigger things - was even better on the mic. That all said, fundamentally (in the ring), I’ll go with Orton. And because I think that category is so important, I’ll go with Orton overall.

Yeah. Erm I'd say depends on time frame. 2003 Cena was better. Then in 2004 Orton was amazing. 2005 Cena had better year. 2006 Orton was great as heel. 2007 Orton. 2008 Orton. Not judging past RA era but seems like when you go through it Orton was more dominant. Cena was face of company but Orton actually provided better wrestling. Orton is winner.

I’ve floated back and forth between the two but for me it’s obvious, Randy was a menace and the biggest dick in his time. I don’t know what razor this man used when he went bald but it made him go absolutely psychotic, not to mention with groups like evolution, rated RKO, the authority, the new Wyatt family and RKBro he has found a way to always keep himself fresh and the RKBro stuff made for some great moments including Matt Riddle using the RKO and the infamous goatee for Randy,
