Edge is the GOAT. Hopefully he doesn't leave to go to a second rate promotion. He's already in one. WWE has historically never been the best wrestling promotion on the planet, just the most palatable to casual fans and the general public. I'd like to see finish his career in worthwhile matches against an Omega, FTR, Ospreay, and MJF. If he can still go at that level of course, otherwise better to retire where he's at. WWE fans don't care about workrate. Okay pal.

Also Edge deserves to end his career in front of a sold out crowd, not a small half empty arena.

Would love to see Edge and Christian win the Tag Titles one last time and then face off against each other one more time...

They are about to do a show in front of 80K. I'm sure AEW will select a higher profile show for him to finish his career with Christian. WWE is for fans who prefer soap opera over pure athletics and wrestling. He's capable of a few great performances before hanging it up. He's sports entertained enough.

It's going to be so much fun to come back in here when Adam Copeland is Elite is "All Elite" 🤣🤣🤣
The amount of tantrums and regurgitated Cornetteisms will be hilarious.

Wrestling is Sports Entertainment. It's been a soap opera since the 80's.

Yes, AEW has mat classics like the TCM match. AEW allows teams like FTR to do 1 hour wrestling matches. Gave us one of the best iron man matches of all time this year. They consistently base their entire product around workrate and match quality. The mimosa matches and TCM match are awful, but are so easy to forgive when we just got Bryan Danielson vs Okada and Omega/Ospreay 2 in the same night. It's nice to be spoiled with great wrestling, WWE fans wouldn't understand. Outside of Gunther, y'all don't have anything to point to. Enjoy your 3 star matches...

Claiming AEW isn’t a soap opera. BAHAHAHAHAHA! AEW has pretty much platforms and done everything under the sun, including soap opera drama. It's not their core focus though is it? It's not their identity, just like it wasn't black and gold's. The core mission should be amazing matches presented consistently.

I watch WWE every week and witness entertaining matches. Rollins, Rhodes, Balor, Gunther etc never disappoint. Also does 1 hour of FTR draw to the wider audience? Would kids, (the majority of the fanbase) sit through that match without getting bored? The reason why WWE is a billion dollar phenomenon is because their product appeals to fans of all ages. Every match needs a story behind it, you can't just throw two guys in the ring with no reason or build up. The PPV's are where the big fight happen and the whole purpose of the weekly shows are to develop the feuds and evolve the stories which lead to the matches. The WWE didn't win the Monday Night Wars with a 1 hour matches on free TV. The ass kicking, segments, feuds, and strong storytelling drew in millions.

It’s only considered a great match if you’re doing at least five different variations of a piledriver per match.
Don’t you guys understand that? 🙄
Let’s not bring up that AEW is a part time schedule compared to WWE and if you tried to wrestle that style with a WWE schedule you’d have no longevity.

I don't need piledriver variations spammed, but it is nice to see a wrestling company with some diversity. Lucha, strong style, technical, hardcore. AEW platforms every style of wrestling under the sun without diluting them with restrictions. Black and Gold NXT proved that WWE could do the same if they wanted too. Instead it's just bland as hell. Commentary doesn't even call all of the moves, instead they beat you over the head with the same (usually) contrived storyline beats ad nauseam. Not for me.

people still pretending "Christian is All Elite" isn't the exact same thing as "what's Christian doing in the Impact Zone" but decades apart is hilarious. WWE is never going to die or be pushed out of the #1 spot. Those folks are delusional. Where were all these marks when there was no alternative in America? Hiding in the shadows sharpening their keyboard skills for one day when a promotion would rise from the ashes? The whole "I love everything that isn't WWE" gimmick is stale. Has been for years. It was stale during the Monday Night Wars, it was stale when old legends went to TNA and it's stale today where the exact same things are happening under a different banner. These guys are just lifelong 2nd placers and they make the rest of us who enjoy ALL wrestling look bad.

WWE is the MCU or Fast and the Furious of wrestling. It might appeal to casuals and the lowest common denominators, but it isn't going to resonate for a more critical audience. It leaves a lot of me desired in terms of athletic performance. As far as being 2nd placers, that's more than fine with me. I was a 2nd placer who enjoyed Martin Scorsese's "The Irishman" over "Avengers Endgame." Apparently it's a gimmick to not like the most accessible and diluted form of entertainment now 😆
