they brought up Cody too early imo, he was embarrassingly skinny in a time where that really stood out and worked against you That was one main reason I believed DiBiase would've enjoyed the better career at the time. Teddy looked like a young up and comer and Cody literally looked like a 10 yo.

Looks like Ted DiBiase Jr is one of the biggest Marty Jannettys (aside from Marty Jannetty himself).

During the Legacy days all Rhodes and Dibiase had that stood out was their names.
Apart from the that they were plain, generic and like watching paint dry.
Cody thankfully evolved himself and is now a mega star in the business.

My only problem with this Second/Third Generation stable is that there really isn't much heat surrounding these guys. Most people are still trying to decide whether Rhodes is worth even cheering or booing for, I doubt anyone cares for Smith since he hasn't been on TV in a while and Dibiase still looks/acts like Randy Orton Jr, so it's hard to take him seriously, as well. Also, the icing on the cake is why should anyone care if Rhodes turns on HARDCORE HOLLY? Why is he even remotely near a Raw storyline to begin with? This whole idea just has "not ready yet" labeled all over it, in my opinion. Good for a laugh: forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/84869/ted-dibiase-appreciation-threadforum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/92219/cody-rhodes-ted-dibiaseOn that note… forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/96585/wrong-cody-rhodes-ted-dibasieI wouldn't say last week's match was amazing, as both know how to work a basic wrestling match and not much else at this point. Dibiase has the greater potential, I believe, to be a future star, but I don't see either really making an impact within the company for at least a few more years (if at all). Using the search function was a mistake… forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/109583/legacy-new-evolutionLegacy or whatever this group will be called cannot be compared to Evolution, as the talent is definitely not proportioned and I don't think anyone is expecting this group to dominate WWE and hold every title belt. Strong booking will be the key to their success on Raw, as it just wouldn't be for the best to throw guys like Rhodes and Manu out there with the likes of Triple H and Batista right now. They still need to work their way up to become good to great heels and, as far as I'm concerned, Orton is the super glue holding this group/faction/stable/whatever together at the moment. In other words, I only look at Rhodes and Manu as legit threats when Orton is around, because otherwise, they scream mid-card to me and not exactly the "future of this business." Now, I'm not writing them off yet, but I think Dibiase needs to come back soon or be in some way integrated into a storyline with them to keep his name fresh with fans. I don't think the majority of fans care about either Rhodes or Manu right now, as the majority of the focus has been on Orton. I think Dibiase is the future and he has all of the necessary skills to get there, whereas Rhodes and Manu are noticeably...different on the mic and in their appearances. As long as Dibiase isn't forgotten about, I have no problems with there actually being stables in wrestling once again. Orton is the perfect leader for this group, and I love the role he has taken on since returning from injury. I like the proposed name of 'Legacy', but the verdict is still out on the talent and make-up of the group for me.

To be fair, Chicago, people would still slide Cody in the midcard if not for his recent work history.

Around 2010 is where Cody really started to do his thing... 2011-2016 were also good years for him tbh.

forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/53493/kid-codyAfter the Orton/Dusty feud, he'll probably hang on for a while but amount to nothing. I can't ever see him becoming any more than a mid-card wrestler; probably send him to ECW and play off the "my dad was hardcore, so watch me not impress anyone" card. Oof. Kids, don’t have takes in the Internet age.

Always been a big fan of Cody & Ted. The 2nd/3rd Generation guys are really the ones that kept me clinging to Pro Wrestling when it hit that down slope for me. Guys like Cody, Ted, Orton, Hart Dynasty, & Umaga (originally thought he was Afa's son when he & Rosey debuted) were the main reasons I would still tune in weekly.

I remember the talk at the time that Ted was gonna be the next big star coming out of the Legacy stuff, but I never seen it. He was pretty boring all round to be honest. Cody came out of it and did the Dashing/Undashing stuff which was great stuff and Ted did nothing, at least nothing I can actually remember.
