I need me that Bret and Piper, but I’ll wait. I’m not paying anything else than what Walmart prices them at even though I kept asking for that black singlet Bret.

Someone posted this on social media... This seems pretty early for people to be finding these.... Wonder if this means they are hitting soon? Are we getting another crack at Series 1? I was able to find Series 1 but I know a lot of people didn't. I'm not in love with Series 2 - - - most likely only Kevin Nash for me (if I can find it). And since we are getting fake "Diesel" I guess we can safely assume that fake "Razor" will be in a future wave?

And since we are getting fake "Diesel" I guess we can safely assume that fake "Razor" will be in a future wave? Not unless they have Rick Bognar signed to a deal. Which I’d honestly doubt, but we’ll see.

I was wondering about series 2 since the date for series 3, per WM's collector event, had August as the date. If they were quarterly a la Target's Legends, August doesn't exactly make them quarterly. And yes, Nash is the only one worth picking up. Pairs so well with Hall.

I ended up getting the whole of series 1, but I think series 2 it'll just be Nash for me.

And since we are getting fake "Diesel" I guess we can safely assume that fake "Razor" will be in a future wave? Not unless they have Rick Bognar signed to a deal. Which I’d honestly doubt, but we’ll see. I'm starting to have my doubts on this line, now that we're seeing the next few waves.... * Series 1 was pretty strong. Good choices. BAF Luger is fantastic too. Glad I grabbed the whole set fairly quickly. Packaging also looks GREAT. * Series 2 - Kevin Nash WCW debut - great choice & great fig. "Fake Diesel" is a deep cut but was that really a "highlight" of the Monday Night Wars? As I remember that whole angle lasted what, a month or two? And it was a flop, more like a "lowlight". I also think we've had more than enough Rey's and this one isn't really a stand-out and there's not any unique accessory or anything. I'd say similar about this HHH. And I got roasted for saying this before but I stand by my comment, "Referee" Teddy Long was also insignificant to the Monday Night Wars. Hebner would have been a much more appropriate choice (yes I know he's likely unavailable to Mattel). Just a very odd choice here. * Series 3 - I'm good with Harlem Heat. We needed some more of these and LOVE that there's chase attires. Rob Van Dam is probably a good choice, but the head-scan looks off and I have a bunch of RVD's already (that I like better than this one)... not sure I need another sub-par RVD. And I DEFINITELY don't need another Rock. I honestly don't remember him wearing the big "R" t-shirt (although I'm quite sure he did). UGH I kinda do want Disciple BAF so I guess I'll have to buy them all.... I REALLY want the Ultimate Piper & Bret and I'm highly concerned about being able to obtain them for retail prices. So where does that leave us? I feel like the selections here aren't truly representative of the Monday Night Wars - many of these can't be made but I feel like this line NEEDS at least SOME of the following names in order to better capture that truly magical time period: * Eric Bischoff * Vince McMahon * Sting * Ric Flair * Macho Man Randy Savage * Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan * Degeneration X (Chyna, HHH, New Age Outlaws) * Diamond Dallas Page (YES, in jeans and taped ribs) * The APA * Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner * Steve "Mongo" McMichael * Jerry "The King" Lawler * Jim Ross (Red/Black jacket) * Mean Gene Okerlund (WCW business suit attire) * Madusa (with WWF Women's Belt & Trash Can) * Mike Tyson (leadup to WM15) * Arn Anderson * Big Bubba Rogers (WCW Nitro Episode 1) * Dennis Rodman (NWO) * X-Pac WWF return (leather jacket and jeans) * Sid Vicious (he jumped back & forth frequently between WCW & WWF) * Warrior (WCW debut, yes the canned one from the Nitro Stage-funder) Deeper cuts: Val Venis, Glacier, William or Steven Regal, Dean Malenko, Juventud Guerrera, Meng, Ernest "The Cat" Miller, Alex Wright, Disco Inferno, Earl Hebner, I'll add others as I think of them. Not trying to be negative, just that this line has a lot of potential but I feel like they're using odd choices when they could be celebrating the hottest time in wrestling history!

I have to agree with this. During the attitude era, there were a few referees that mattered, Earl Hebner would probably be the #1 because of the Montreal Screwjob; #2 would have to be Nick Patrick. I really don't remember Teddy Long doing anything of note for the Monday Night Wars. He would have made more sense in the Ruthless Aggression line as the GM.

So many wcw cruiserweights too, Kidman and Dragon for instance. I'm really not sure why we have never had a Kidman figure from Mattel. He works for WWE lol. Also an nWo Vincent and Ted at long last would be great. There are so many others. Fake Sting would be kinda dope.

You can put anyone in the line, doesn't matter it will be killed because it's a Walmart exclusive.

Series 2 is what I imagine a lineup would look like if you told me to come up with the absolute worst looking lineup possible with these four legendary names.

Why not Charles Robinson for a ref? They could’ve reused the Danny Davis torso. Just needs lil Naitch legs

I’m really bummed about this whole thing. Wal-mart sucks and I’m *probably* never going to find these in person and I shouldn’t have to pay scalper prices on mercari or ebay. I’m gonna have to pull the trigger on Piper and Hart but it’s gonna be hard to justify spending 50 bucks on that Rey or street gear Nash.

Have Hart or Piper UEs hit retail yet?
I'm looking as though I'll have to import them to the UK somehow

I'm still looking for SCSA but I'm not trying that hard, currently just checking once or twice a week.
Have there been any restocks after finding them in the shippers?

TheXtremisTdon't think others have reported them though. they said april so they should be out soon. hopefully smyths get them for us, its a long shot but they got the hogan 3 pack, so maybe they will actually complete our MNW sets with ultimates

Hall arrived from Smyths here in Ireland 🇮🇪 . Few tweaks & I'm VERY happy with this figure.

Rolling through the rosters from both promotions, I wonder just how many potential figures are never going to happen or are shelved as far as signed talents are concerned. Series 2 is much weaker, but the first set is pretty strong.
I would love for them to get both that DDP from the Nitro stage and a jeans & rib tape version out. That and the lack of Booker T figures stands out as a place where this line can help. I'd imagine we get more Steiner figures here eventually as well. At least there's tons of anchor talent from this era that can keep it going? I'd actually love for it to hang on for a while and get some crazy deep cuts from WCW like Alex Wright and Norman Smiley as BAFs down the line.

On the WCW side jeans DDP is a certainty I feel in some line someplace because we have the jeans boots mold.
HBK from 14th August Raw 97 would be sweet
Singles Booker from 98 LOD 97
Are the Godwinns, Candido etc signed?

This whole line is pretty underwhelming.
Series 1 is decent, I can see the value in all those figure choices.
Series 2 is terrible. Triple H because we never get enough of him, right? Fake Diesel is not a highlight - he was a lame blip during that time. And the kicker - why'd they show a maskless Rey like that if they didn't have permission or the ability to do it? Weird.
Series 3 is middle of the road. The Harlem Heat figures are great but the RVD is a swing and a miss and I already have that Rock.
