Yeah I’m seeing the Rock turn on Roman at Mania with it turning out he was always on Cody’s side. I hope we get the Hollywood Rock theme from here on out though.

Rock was foreshadowing tonight with the giant L he threw up. I feel like they will back track and say that’s what Cody and the Rock discussed. I could see that, that it was a plan all along. I’m invested and can’t wait to see where this story goes and what comes next.

It's honestly a dangerous game to play. Heel Rocky is what everyone fell inlove with, imagine if this leads to him being so over again that Cody is booed instead lmao.

It just left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth with the way everything went down. I trust in the end, everything will work out for everyone.. except the Bloodline.

Am I the only one who thought that was terrible? Rock is out of touch, his act is antiquated and he thought he could ramble on for 20 minutes out there. The ending was obviously rushed and accomplished nothing other than what we already knew. He’s now a heel and aligned with Roman. I still think he’ll turn on Roman when this is all said and done too. Felt like a filler segment to me. Pretty anticlimactic. I didn’t think it was good. Some people are just easily entertained I reckon. It could just be nostalgia too, The Rock is the person that got me into wrestling. I remember never watching wrestling during the attitude era but going to a store in the UK called Woolworths (the WF:UK’ers should know) when I was 9 and my mom let me choose a toy and I chose The Rock, not knowing who he was but my best friends at the time in elementary school would talk about WWF at the time. The first PPV o ever watched was SummerSlam 2001; when The Rock won the WCW title. His promo work since the Cena stuff from 2011 have been awful, but nostalgia will always make me root for The Rock! Having said that, did y’all clock the video package and how The Rock was wearing elbow pads with his most recent tattoo, oh they definitely setting a match up!

Someone also pointed out the Rock is pointing towards Roman when he says he’s going to make sure “you walk out a loser”.
This story is an ogre.

The Rock looks weird with his 90’s style getup. I feel like he needs a new heel theme now.

Hollywood Rock and his Versace shirt, despite saying nothing relevant, is making Roman look like Jimmy Uso.

Man, The Rock was great here. Love the shirt and everything.
Didn’t think much of the rest of the show.
Elimination Chamber starts seven hours after next week’s SmackDown ends. Assuming they’re pretending SmackDown is live, I wonder how the commentators will reference it. Considering they’ll have to plug that the start time is only a few hours away, they’ll essentially be presenting the idea that the roster can teleport to Australia.

A teleport machine would indeed be the definition of that!

Rock turning on Roman is probably what they'll do ... but that is so obvious and not interesting at all. It is such mainstream writing for a mainstream audience, and Cody finishing his story (that they've forced down our throats for years) will wear off very quickly anyway.
But bigger issues arise if they go this route ...
1. Rock would have to not get involved in the Roman/Cody match in ANY major way. All he could do is beat down Solo or the Uso brother. Any contact with Roman would take away from Cody beating him. Cody can't be given the win. He has to earn it.
2. Rock IS Samoan. That IS his family. For him to come out and whisper "trust me" or whatever he said to Cody, then pretend to be part of the Bloodline, only to turn on Roman should mean that he is not happy with how Roman and the family has treated the WWE over all these years. But they've yet to show it in any way. That's not really something you can do after the fact. You have to hint that he's not happy with Roman to plant the seed. Not to mention as I said before, why would he turn his back on his family? And they've planted no seeds that he wants to be the one that leads the family. You really need a good explanation for Rock turning his back on his heritage.
3. Having the Bloodline feud with Rock after Roman loses won't work. It just won't. Once Roman loses, he is weak. He is no longer unbeatable, no longer champion, no longer anything but a nasty heel. You can't build a Roack/Bloodline story unless the Bloodline controls the power.
4. I've been critical of Cody's story, but I stand by the fact that everyone expects him to win. If you know he's going to win, that takes away from the match. How can you be overly excited for Cody when you know it's the outcome? And once he does win ... then what? Are you giving him Hogan-like pops for the next year? No. He'll get old quick. Everyone wants to see the pin, not really even the match. They want to see him hold the belt in tears. Then what? Then he's just Cody.
My idea would to be have Rock help Roman retain. Then Cody gets Rock's one match. Cody wins. Then ... yes again ... you get Cody/Roman and then Cody wins. But they've already ruined any shock of Rock helping Roman win by turning him heel this soon. So ... we're getting the boring and stale Rock helps Cody win, crowd cheers for Cody finishing this "amazing" story, and Rock and Roman fading away.

Realistically they could make Cody wait again next year, but: 1. Cody is pushing towards 40 and he could catch an injury that can prevent him from making it to next year's Mania. 2. They're going to have to really shake up and keep the gas going with the Bloodline story. Otherwise, it's always just going to continue to be a meme about how Roman's relatives always help him. Also, most of the time, knowing the outcome is not always a bad thing. It just has to be executed right. We all knew Sami would turn on the Bloodline, but the way they present it was amazing.
