It's been a while since I bitched about gas prices, but it beats bitching about all the other crap that's going wrong in my life right now (60 hour work weeks, 6 day work weeks, vacation getting turned down, slacker co-workers taking mental days, Dad buying people what I'm getting them for Christmas, etc...).
Anyway, it's up to $3.10 a gallon here. It's never been over $3 a gallon here before it sucks because I'm now stuck at home all day. I kind of want to go to the grocery store, but I really don't want to walk there and I don't want to spend the gas to get there so I'll make do with what I've got. I also really want to go to TRU, but it's clear across town. I know I can't afford the gas to do that. It sucks. It's really cutting into my bottom line here.

It's $3.09 here and has been for a while.
Next town over, there is this one gas station that is charging $3.75. He's nuts, because you can go a block and get it for $3.09 or around there.

It's $2.95 here. I'm a college student and try not to use my car to leave campus unless it's for something I really need, so I only put in about $20 a week. If I'm low by Friday, I put another $10-$15 in for the weekend.

If I'm low by Friday, I put another $10-$15 in for the weekend. I do the same thing. Try to hold off trips until I can't really afford to anymore. Either that or just do everything on the way to something else.

I'm going to seriously have to ask for a raise as I've gone from a 2 minute commute to a 20 minute commute and the gas has become an enormous extra expense. This is not good and this is one of the biggest reasons the economy is not doing well. People can't buy stuff because they've got to buy gas, just to get to work to try to earn money to turn around and pay for expensive gas.

i hate people that bitch about the price of gas guess what nobody is forcing you to drive what wrong with walking taking a bus or train or even riding a bike to where you have to be if you drve youre self you have no right to bitch well the prices of gas just doesn't cause problems with driving alone. milk is crazy expensive in a lot of places because of this increase. If you live in a rural area driving is the only option. Not every city has buses or trains and riding a bike is out of the question in most places unless you're Lance Armstrong. People do have a right to bitch when the price of gas is causing people who make good money to be broke and practically poor. it's ridiculous.
