tna by the looks of it concentrates more on gameplay, and being a big wrestling fan that's what i look for in a game. impact looks amazing so far, hopefully it can live up to the hype. smackdown 08 just seems an updated more 'shiny' version of last years game, imo.
also, the news of this impact game may make thq get off their arse and put more effort into their games because the smackdown games have so much potential.

I think its too early to tell. The TNA gameplay may look good, but until you have experienced it yourself & actually played the game, you can't really make a judgment.
WWE looks to have made some huge improvements over last years game, this year; and I'm looking forward to picking up a copy.
Both games are going to have their weaknesses and their strenghts, in the end, its just going to come down to which appeals to you, more as a person. - At this moment in time, I'm more drawn to the Smackdown release, because I know more about it, although I don't doubt, once I see more info from the TNA game, I'll be in high anticipation of that aswell.
Just a waiting game.

I'll hold my judgment until they're both released.
I would hold off these topics for a little while champ.

My vote goes for WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 because TNA Impact seems too much like a sports game like football or baseball where it's so generic. I got a War Zone feeling when I saw those videos for it.

WWE. Its TNA's first attempt at a video game, theres really no way of even compairing the two. THQ and WWE have made several games together. Im hyped for the TNA game, but my expectations are alot higher for SVR 08. Mainly because the TNA game will be fun, but not as advanced.

I'm ready for a new game, Impact is looking better. Smackdown doesn't ever seem to bring anything new to the table every year, they change controls too often and always try to add to it. I personally like pick up and play games, which from everything I've read TNA will be. I'm more excited for it. I don't even think I'll play SVR08 except at a friends. Fire Pro Returns is out in about 2/3 weeks, that'll keep me busy until Impact.

iMPACT!. Why? Because THQ could put a turd in a shoebox, label it WWE SmackDown! VS Raw 2020 and sell it. They don't care. They repackage the same crap every year. I might be buying SVR 08 since I skipped 07, but I am looking forward to iMPACT! a lot more.

Im more Exited for TNA Impact, was very Disappointed with Smackdown VS Raw 2007, and It looks like 2008 Might turn out the same for me, Impact looks good already and with Reports that Aj and Joe who are helping out Making the game are big fans of the 64 Wrestling Games ( Which are Pretty awesome in my opinion ), SVR is basically the Same Old Sh*t to me right now, The First SVR was the Last straw for THQ in my opinion.

Impact. I'm not even much of a TNA fan, either. I've just played the same Smackdown game engine with new tweaks for far too long.

I am wanting to play Impact more, 08 just looks like the same old game that I have been playing for years. If Tommy Dreamer and CM Punk were not in 08 I doubt I would want to play it at all.
I'm all for using Sabin and Shelly to kick some ass in Impact.
