It's ****. 2001 was the last great year they had. Pretty much. But 2003 is when I really saw and noticed and had to accept, even though I tried to pretend it wasnt, falling apart leading to the meaningless and too often unmatchable state...at least for me, its in today. Mostly just a results reader now. I still have some slight hope it will turn around again. Like many of us and even superstars are saying, whats old needs to be new again. I live on all the past when it comes to E, though I should say WWF. But each year it just seems to get worse, so I'm not holding out.

I still watch RAW and come online and talk about it, but I miss Impact, ECW, and Smackdown a lot. For me, my best times as a wrestling fan are in the past.

personally i wasnt a fan of 2002.
sure, jericho was the champion, hbk made his return in one of my personal favorite matches of all time, and we saw the first elimination chamber....but i did not like the way that the undisputed championship flip-flopped between wrestlemania and summerslam....triple h one month, hogan the next, then undertaker, then the rock. we finally got some stability in brock lesnar.....but i didnt want that. the guy had only been with the company for four or five months and really didnt deserve to win. 2002 was also the year triple h was handed the world championship for his cena-esque championship run and oh yeah also retired the intercontinental championship.
i look at wrestling today and see a lot of dumb mistakes. for one, i think wed have a lot better talent if wwe would choose not to reprimand wrestlers by hurting their on-screen characters. they put wrestlers in the doghouse by having them job to others. this creates a situation in which wwe relies on older talent to carry the brand. and we are seeing the result of that type of thinking.........were stuck with a very narrow championship picture. namely guys like carlito and shelton benjamin who could be main eventers had they not been punished by having their characters held down. kendrick and london began to make tag team wrestling exciting again in the wwe and now london has heat on them....i dont understand.
they need better writing and usage of their talent.
but
i am hopeful for 2008.

I can't believe how many people have said WWE is great right now. I swear just weeks ago nearly everyone was in agreement that this was the lowest of lows for WWE and professional wrestling in general.
WWE is a joke right now.
Things have been getting progressively worse since Rey Mysterio won the Royal Rumble. It really was all downhill from there.

WWE has had one of the worst years they've ever had. How can ANYONE honestly say this year is great? It's awful.

As much as people hate the time period, I loved 1995-1997. I thought 98 was good. 99 was ok. 2001 was pretty good. But I really haven't liked the product that much since 2001. Just okay.

2002-2004 was good for Smackdown. Lesnar, Angle, Edge, Eddie, Benoit, Mysterio, Tajiri pwned that time.
The last time I was really excited about a wrestling storyline was when the RAW faces (Maven, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, and Orton, If I remember correctly ) were rising up to challenge Evolution's stronghold on RAW. That caught my interest really well, and nothing uptil now has got me excited as much since.
I miss heel rapper Cena. Cena hasn't been exciting since middle of 2003 (he's had lots of good matches and keeps improving, but there is nothing exciting about him).
ECW One Night Stand (1st one)- was an awesome ppv with a lot of emotion. no ppv since has really recaptured that feeling.

... we started losing all of our guys. Let me put it this way:
. Brock Lesnar left and will never make a return . Chris Jericho left . Big Show retired . Stone Cold retired . The Rock retired . Kane is a shell of his former self . Shawn Michaels is possibly done for good . Rob Van Dam is done as far as we know . Kurt Angle left for TNA . Eddie died . Benoit died . Dudleys are in TNA . Trish Stratus retired . Undertaker is probably close to retiring if I were to guess . Flair's rumored last match will take place @ WrestleMania 24 in Florida . Mark Henry, The Great Khali, & Snitsky.... Need I say more? . Shelton Benjamin will never be a major champion . It feels as if Orton will never recapture his spot as the top guy in the company . Too many rubbish Pay-Per-Views
The good (to me, anyways): . John Cena as WWE Champion (you heard right) . Edge as World Heavyweight Champion . Lashley (he's not bad. there are times when I think he's boring, but there are also times that I like him) . CM Punk . Kennedy . The Hardys . London & Kendrick . Cor Von, Thorn, & Burke . Melina . MVP . Getting to see Flair and hear the fans shout "Woooo!!111" every time he delivers a chest chop . The Big 4 (Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, & Survivor Series)
Kinda makes me depressed.

It's ****. 2001 was the last great year they had. Are you ing kidding me??? Do you not remember the horribly botched InVasion angle? WCW? ECW? 2001 was one of the worst years to be a wrestling fan ever.

The only problem I have had with WWE so far this year was taking MITB from Kennedy... but they had to do it. So I think that compared to late 05-06, 07 has been better...

They aint even building any new wrestlers
I only remember 2003,2004 for one thing: Triple H and his bald chin with pressed hair and politics

I can't believe how many people have said WWE is great right now. I swear just weeks ago nearly everyone was in agreement that this was the lowest of lows for WWE and professional wrestling in general. Maybe those were, you know, different people. Posters don't speak on behalf of the whole board. Oh, and yes, WWE is absolutely horrible! I can't bel ieeeve you people think it is good. You must be blind and stupid to like WWE. They haven't had a good year since the Attitude era(GODLY). Luckily, I am above you and I'm not going to take their crap anymore. DIE VINCE DIE your wrestling product is terrible. Except of course for tonight and every other Monday night when I turn to USA and watch Raw.
