Hey,
So I haven't bought a WWE DVD for god knows how long, and so with your help, I think I'll order a couple sometime soon.
So 20 recommendations, including superstar specials or PPV's in order of your favourite.

my suggestion: aside from the ocassional anthology DVD or special DVD( Families, History of, etc), they're a waste of money.

A good majority of the bio DVDs, like the McMahon set, Jake Robetrs, LOD, Bret Hart, Piper, and the Horsemen set, are all very well put together and worth the money.

1. The Ladder Match (best non-PPV DVD that WWE has put out in a while and includes some of the greatest matches ever seen)
2. ECW ONS 2005 (greatest PPV I've ever seen)
3. The Rise And Fall of ECW
4. Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story
5. Cheating Death, Stealing Life: The Eddie Guerrero Story
6. Tombstone: History of the Undertaker
7. Wrestlemania 20 (best Mania since 17)
8. ECW ONS 2006 (not as good as original ONS, but still had many great matches/moments)
9. New And Improved DX (I might get bashed for this, but I really liked the return of DX. They put on some great matches and had many funny promos)
10. Armageddon 2006
11. Monday Night Wars
12. Rob Van Dam: One of A Kind (I'm a big RVD fan so that's why this is ranked higher than other DVDs that may be better, but it really shows some of his great matches in ECW and early WWE. Although they don't really portray alot of his personal life, there are still alot of extras that are good to watch and give somewhat of a portrayal of how he is like outside the ring. It's a good DVD to watch for anyone who hasn't seen RVD before his WWE days.)
13. Rey Mysterio: 619 (a good DVD, but it is really outdated, so I would just wait for his new one to come out in October)
14. Before They Were WWE Superstars Vol. I & II (again this DVD is outdated, but it is still cool to see how alot of they guys got into the business and how they were like growing up)
15. Ric Flair and 4 Horsemen (I've heard and read excellent reviews about the DVD, but I wasn't even born when the group was around so that's the reason it is so low on my list, but I would check it out)
16-20. Survivor Series 2002-2006 (Every year there are always some great matches during Survivor Series. I've really enjoyed all of them from 2002-2006 so I wouldn't really consider 1 greater than the other)
I hope my list was able to help. I picked the DVDs based on what I have seen, read and what looks interesting. I tried my best to put them in order, but there may be some that are higher than others or some that are just on an equal level (like Taker, Benoit and Eddie). Sorry for not adding more PPVs, but I'm the type of person that's more interested in the biography and superstar special DVDs. So, good luck in choosing and enjoy.

Like the folks above said, just stick with the special DVDs and pass the PPVs. I'd definitely pick up the Piper one and the Taker Tombstone one.

Surprised no one's mentioned Rise & Fall yet. Someone did, but I don't suppose you could be arsed to read and find that out. Thanks yungking for being the only one that could be bothered to reply properly.

Rise and Fall of ECW is a must see for sure. Eddie Guerrero's Cheating Death, Stealing Life is really good too, but I'd like to see a more comprehensive documentary on Eddie eventually.

Thanks yungking for being the only one that could be bothered to reply properly. Well, asking for 20 recommendations from everyone is a bit much, no? How about you ask for five from each person, and you just tally up the most popular ones? Anyways, Special DVDs- 1.) Bret Hart DVD 2.) Rise & Fall of ECW 3.) Four Horsemen DVD 4.) Eddie Guerrero DVD 5.) Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story PPVS (The ones you could get fairly cheap): 1.) Summerslam 2001 2.) Unforgiven 2001 3.) Survivor Series 2002 4.) Survivor Series 2003 5.) ECW ONS 2005

I think 20 is fairly reasonable. 5 - 10 will do though, I suppose.
Thanks.
