like itd make sense if say, the brand split ended, and they did away with sd and ecw even with cutdowns the roster would be exceptionally big, with a pretty loaded main event squad to work with. but of course theyd lose out too much on the less programming and itll never happen. but like honestly, could you imagine it happening with a loaded roster like that, one big show to look forward to a week, each of the 3 hour shows hyped as they currently do for 3 hour editions of RAW. ratings/production boost hmmmmm? hate being last post

Having lived through the Nitro expansion, I can tell you first hand that a three hour RAW would be a monumental mistake. It would overexpose the brand and burn guys out even more. Besides that, Heat still airs on television in European markets. With ECW taking up the third available taping hour on the SmackDown! side, how do you tape that show to fulfill the overseas contracts? Forget the logistics for a minute. In order to keep the crowd in the building interested, Creative is going to have to be firing on all eight cylinders. At this point, quite frankly, Creative isn't firing on any cylinders and before the Benoit tragedy, they hotshotted the assassination[/b] of the owner of the company. This would turn out to be a fatal flaw for WWE. For WCW fans, this is all just a little bit of history repeating. [/quote] hit the nail on the head. It was all downhill once Nitro went to 3 hours. although WCW had a lot of other crap besides the 3 hour Nitro which made it overwhelming- 2 hour Thunder, 2 hour Sat. Night, 1 hour Worldwide, PPVs, etc..

Why dont they do a 2hr raw followed by a 1hr ecw on monday?
But a single 3hr raw? no way. 2 hrs is enough

3 hours, if they scrap house shows. seriously, what the hell does adding an extra hour have to do with house shows? That would be the dumbest idea ever- take away shows from half the city in the country and don't get a chance to test the waters of a storyline off TV..

3 hours would be cool but vince actually wants it to be only 1 1/2 hours right now.

Leave it at 2 hours. Remember W.C.W. Monday Nitro went 3 hours too often and look what happened there. Went out of business. It was just too much on W.C.W.'s part. I really hope WWE doesn't make the same mistake W.C.W. did.

In my opinion the RAW roster right now doesn't have the talent to keep viewers watching 3 hours that is until HHH and HBK return or if Rey or Taker move to RAW.

Good. Maybe it'll give their PPV's more meaning since they'll have more build now with the 3 hr. Raws.

If this were a year in which the product were actually enjoyable, than yes, I'd be all for three hours.
Given the current product, though, I'd probably shut it off weekly by 10. I can only take two hours of garbage a week.

Funny how this is a thread, about RAW possibly going to 3 hours - yet some feel the need to turn it into a Cena-bashing thread... grow the hell up... If RAW did go to 3 hours, no they wouldn't have 3-4 Cena matches a week - don't be so bloody stupid... I'm all for RAW going 3 hours - if anything, it would give Regal time for a match...

I would rather have it 3 hours and have all of the good wrestlers(means no Cena) and loose the 2 other shows.

I wouldn't mind do 3 hours of Raw 1 month, 2 hours of ECW another month, 3 hours of smackdown the next month... and ditching all the ppvs except for the main 4.
